When people say:

You must be young because your not very good. - You can be good at a young age!
You should stop drawing because your really bad. - It doesn't mean I can't become good!
... - It's spam and technically means your bad and they have nothing to say.

And when all they say is bad things about your art and never what's good.

My OC, Xaylin. Ain't he great?

Sadly I did not draw this art, it was done by the talented FirstandForemost.
Lol, I like all the comments I get. They were nice enough to comment me even though they didn't have to. It's the thought that count anyways right? xd

"<3".

Pisses me off. Or anything that's a one word answer. Elaborate please. I want to know exactly what you like about the picture. Even "cute!!! i like this hair!!!" is better than "KAWAIIDESUUU"

If I got a lot of comments, I'd probably have a few more annoying ones. I dislike the "OMFWBBQ" whatever type comments, and especially the "critique" from kids who ignore my initial explanation and obviously don't know what they speak of. Those are particularly annoying.

What do you mean by "initial explaination"? Example please.

I have a feeling that I might be one of those kids.

Haha i think they meant that when you write in the 'Artist Comments' section and stated the info already they asked you questions you've already stated like what medium etc. whee

I’ve always hated the comment of: “OMG!!! That’s so great!!! What version of Photoshop did you use???” And then when I tell them… “Oh, well. I guess your art is okay. You should get a newer version. Then maybe your art won’t suck so much.” confused

I've never had that even though i'm still using Photoshop 6.0 whee whee
Considering some of the best works I've seen come from 1.0. Older versions of Photoshop are better I think since the artist realies less on the pre-made brushes and put more effort into it. heart

Don't hurt me
I really resent comments that don't pay attention to descriptions of my pieces. Like asking what the character's name is or something.

I can deal with the fact that not everyone is very good at saying something really detailed, but I'm under the assumption everyone online knows how to read...

"I love the eyes" "cute" "pretty" ect.
I appreciate it whenever someone takes the time to comment on my work, but I get really frustrated with those kind of one-worded comments.
Although I'm more frustrated with how anime seems to be the only style people gravitate towards these days. That, and fashion photography. With these styles, the only comments you really can make are either observations or technical critique.

Anything along the lines of:
"AMG KYOOT"
"That looks like *insert overly popular character here*!"
One-word comments, of course. "Cute." "kawaii" "awwww" "neat" "cool" "awesome" and the like.
And when people try to advertise themselves in commenting your art.
Like, "Wow awesome. This reminds me of this piece I drew here -link-"
That or when people point something out that I messed up on when I've already made a list of what I messed up on in my description. I'm a**l about my art. I pick at it myself. Then if and when I do ask for constructive crits, I get none.

And then the utter lack of comments on anything that isn't anime, or how about we say, that isn't fanart. I stopped posting things that aren't anime because people just flat out don't appreciate it anymore. = And art of creatures that AREN'T furries is prettymuch hated unless it's the most beautiful thing to grace the interweb. I could draw a bitchin dragon and and a crappy chibi of something like sasuke. We can guess which would be more appreciated. >>;

Haha, I know well what you mean. whee it sucks how we put so much effort into a decent picture that does not conform with the popular standards and in the end it does not get that many views.

Places like DeviantArt have grown into sort of a popularity contest place. but maybe those who do watch us really do appreciate our work for what it is.
It's better than getting a hundred fangirls with their comments for a fanart. confused

Well, that seems to be the direction that the art world seems to be leaning at all anymore.
A lot of the people who watch me on dA now (since I've switched accounts recently) who've recently hopped on just watch me because I did a cute little L chibi fanart to test out a new program I got. Something simple. That thing has more favorites and comments than anything else I've posted up in the new gallery, and it has to be one of the things I put the least effort into. It's quite annoying. = So the bubbling fangirls could care less about the other art I submit because it isn't more fanart. It's living proof that fanart and fans run dA popularity.
*sigh*
To think of all the beautiful art that will never be appreciated because of mindless fans...it's such a shame.

Take caution.
For I am as kind...

...as I am cruel.
You have been warned.

"The hand's wonky." There are TWO hands in the picture. I used to waste my time asking "which hand" and "how", but they rarely ever reply after that, or even when they do, it's rarely understandable. I ask for a drawover if I couldn't understand, and they conveniently disappear on me.

I cut down time wastage by not responding at all to such comments anymore. whee Hey, a man's time is his money and romance. You can't blame me for using it wisely! (laugh)

I get really depressed whenever my mom says, "She looks really good!"

"...that's a guy, mom."

Just when I feel so proud that my guys don't look like girls with their boobs sanded off...my own mother gives me a reality check. Thanks, mom.

Oh my god! Can you draw me something?

Or my favorite, in my art school:

"Wow, your good! You wanna work on an animation project with me?"
Which translates to:
"I want you to draw and paint up some of your best stuff for me, then I'm going to do a crappy animated mouth over it with bad music and dubbing, then call it mine! Please, I really want to get into that good art college but can't do it on my own talent. Please work for me for free."
