Ah, a true beginner...I like that you used guidelines on the head. That's good. But it seems like you draw alllll of your lines way too dark, with too much pressure. SKETCH. Do it lightly, and plan things out. Even for chibis, draw circles and stuff to map proportions. Then go over with a darker line. 3nodding

I can't completely tell from the drawing, but it looks like you draw your lines with one stroke. Even when doing the final lines, try doing many small strokes that overlap. With a big of practice, you'll get a smoother look.

biggrin Thanks! heart My mom tells me I press to hard when drawing too! sweatdrop

It's the same habit I had (and still so tend to do it) when I first started drawing a lot. Take it in baby steps: go outside and draw a simple plant that you see, but sketch it out roughly. Just keep doing the same thing with everything you draw, and then, later on, you can start pressing hard as you progress in a drawing. wink

But, other than that, just keep on practicing and experimenting new things. =)

You might want to work on your anatomy some, she's a little blob like 0.0 It looks like your on the right track, just remember any creature has anatomy, no matter the style. Don't ignore it.

Huh? question

Learning to draw realism will help you with whatever your drawing. Its better to learn it first, before you try to go hardcore on anime/manga/whatever.
