best free drawing software?

I just got a drawing tablet and I need a good drawing software! I tried to get Paint Tool Sai but there are no good free, reliable downloads (to my knowledge)
I just need a decent, free software because I'm super new at drawing and want to use my new tablet

firealpaca's decent. it's also a good alternative for mac users.

GIMP is garbage never bother with it.

I was going to suggest Krita. Clean layout, easy to get started with.

Also, MyPaint. Their site is mypaint.intilinux.com. The program is lightweight, very minimal workspace, aims to emulate traditional media, and is super easy to use (IMHO).

There is a free version w/ limited colors and only one layer but if youre looking for the perfect sketching program: It's for you. The canvas expands virtually infinitely so there's unlimited drawing space and you can finally think outside the box as you draw! (And if you're wondering - the full version is only around 20 bucks)

try gimp biggrin i nvr used it but apparently its really good (like a free version of photoshop)

and actually, it is possible to get a free full version of paint tool sai (i downloaded it a while ago ^u^) search harder, its there but i still havent figured out how to get the pen pressure working for it XP
