Anyone know what the price of badge + artist alley table for Otakon this year will be? Or a rough estimate?

It was $120/table 2 years ago, the badge is usually around $50-65 depends on when you get it.
So assuming table price hasn't gone up too much, you are probably going to spend a good $170-$200 all together.

now its 120$ ? thought it was 110$ and 55$ for badges? oh wells, 20$ doesn't really matter if you want to make a real profit and not just break even.. NYAF is 225$ for their's and more for the NYCC side.

Hope to do well at ota, but first hope to actually get in. They're doing a lotto system this time.

Yeah, random pick. That worries a lot of people. And considering some artists had already abused the system before, by having all their friends and relatives register a table for them, I bet someone else will do this too this year.

thats a temping idea but I'm not desperate since I can only go to 1 out of state con a year. we'll see.

I doubt they'll refund you your badge fee, but I don't think they ask for table fees before you get one.

I do see people posting still asking for refunds from last con. usually cons don't refund badges, even if they say they do. I also don't think you need to buy the badge when signing up for AA. You'll need one to check in.

Okay, here's the scoop. I've been emailing the Otakon AA, and at the table registration for the lotto you won't pay anything. If you're selected, you'll receive an email, at which point you'll pay for your space. Then, you'll be able to pre-register later before the deadline.

So good news for me. If I don't get a table, I just won't buy a badge.

AX last year everything was rolled into one and you paid upfront, so I was pretty nervous about the procedures for Otakon... glad the admin were so nice and prompt about getting back to me ^^

I'm getting pretty anxious about fanime. : They said they were going to have a two-week warning before table reg went online, now they've changed it to 72-24 hour warning. >: And they're making you reg ahead of time with no refund if you don't get a table. I'm going to be out of town without internet for three days in april, and I'm willing to bet that the warning AND reg will wind up falling in that three day period. D:
