I think most artists just try to have flashy prints/banners. I've seen only one person try to actually yell things out, and a more seasoned artist told her that it doesn't work and will just tire her out. I am inclined to agree, it was more annoying than attractive. Yelling seems desperate, and that turns people away.

The art should bring the customers, not you. Your responsibility (beyond making the art) is making the sale.

oooooh metalliccc...

*wonders if she has anything that would look badass metallic*
What are the metallic prints like?

..I think I asked this before. Sei, maybe you should make a apge about them on the wiki ;D
For people who use shrink film for charms, etc: Do you lighten your images digitally first? I remember last year when I made charms the colors came out darker and more saturated than I wanted them. So I feel like I should lighten them... but also how, and by how much?
Currently I don't lighten them (I like the more intense colors), though I do try to compensate some of the colors for the shrinking... I wouldn't lighten too much, when I did them at 50% (which is I think what the package says to do) they always looked washed out. Especially after I accidentally did a batch at 100%.
in general for prints when I make a digital picture I lighten it up by like 10% if it was done traditionally then I'd up the saturation by 5-10%
for any of you that is going to AX might want to read up. It may or may not be true, but it is possible since I've heard of the unions charging a lot at SDCC, its not to say that the same cant happen at AX
Sorry I haven't been here in a while. Been getting ready for San-Japan!

My awesome friends are going to be cosplaying my OC's from High School Shogun and leading the flash mob this year! xd xd

Plus, I ordered some Shrinky Dink paper, and I'll be making a whole bunch of cell phone charms!
Ooh, and I got some stickers from CafePress. It was kind of expensive, but the quality is good and the two business day turnaround isn't bad...

Just need to finish my prints and maybe make some more buttons too!

I hope it gets clear up. I've never been to AX but I know how convention centers can be real mean about policies so they can make more money. Unfortunately, hotels just dont have the space for that amount of people. I dont know much about unions but if some one wants to haul their own stuff they shouldn't charge them/ prevent them from doing so.

OMG I love ANNCast. Even though they hate on a lot of my favorite shows (like Slayers...)
