Do I have to order a minimum of 50 buttons in one design from that site?
Or just 50 total?

Minimum of 50 for one design.
I ordered my buttons from here: http://www.poseurink.com/modbuttons/pricing.html

I'll let you know about quality as soon as I get them in. xd The link was posted here though, several pages back, and came with a good review...
I'm deciding between ModButtons and PureButtons... I like the ability to divide an order into different designs, which you can't do with PureButtons, but I think 1.25" buttons would be better than 1", which is the only size available from ModButtons...
1" is what most of my friends who do buttons sell, and they sell like CRAZY. I see so many 1" buttons out there... you'd think it's too small, but really, the size works so well.

(Vaguely curious about ModButtons now... might peek at it.)

Mostly... I'm just here bumping this thread while I sweat about my book order for the next con (yay the site for said con is finally up).

I need to start prepping my pages for print. Something I'm dreading, really.
Seijaku, I've done an awful lot of it at this point... if you have any questions, I can probably help you out with it. 3nodding

I'll see about it once I start. So far I got the theory of everything down at least. xd
What do you guys usually see 1" buttons selling for? I'm trying to figure out pricing for mine.
I usually see $1 each/6 for $5 or in the ballpark of that. Sometimes a little more, usually not any less.

I think most people (myself included) don't like dealing with coins, so it's nice to have the even dollar amounts. And by doing a bulk deal (6 for $5, for instance), you'll often be able to get people to spend more with you. "Well, I see three I like, and that's $3... if I find three more, that's only $2 more."

(I do a similar thing with my charms, selling them at $2 each or 3 for $5; it's quite often that people will find two they like, and then consider that the third is half-price and find another one. Or like them overall, and decide that getting that one at half price is a good enough reason to pick out three.)
Uhh... buttons sell for cheap. Maybe like $0.75-$1.50 depending on the art, I guess. Plus a discount if you get a lot (like $1 for 1 or 4 for $3).

I think I'm going to go with Modbuttons, since they have that cool acetate option.
Thanks for the advice. I'm thinking about $1--I like keeping it even. A deal sounds good too. I like the 6 for $5 one, cause 5 is another nice even number. xd

I hadn't thought of offering specials for my smaller items (charms/buttons); I've offered them though for badges, bookmarks, and prints. But, it's probably a good idea.

So, I am leaving for AWA in one week, and I'm still trying to finish drawing/coloring the rest of my Archetype badges. Does anyone else fail at getting everything ready before the week of the con (or in my case before I set up at the con)?. xd
Anyone here know how Ohayocon decides whether fanart is 50% or less of your stuff?

Like, for every 10 fanart button designs you have, do you need 10 original button designs, or can you have 10 fanart button designs and a 30-page original comic? What about one-of-a-kind things? Does a piece of hand-made jewelry count as equal to an individual fanart button, or can you have 10, $1 buttons for every $10 bracelet? I just want to make sure I'm within the rules...

I need to rant. I really need to rant.

Why is it that people don't seem to realize that just because I can't draw doesn't mean I'm a total moron? If I ask a question it means I have read every piece of information I can find on the subject before asking, JUST LIKE YOU WOULD, and I didn't get an answer. If I ask, "How is this done?" and you tell me the same basic information that anyone to whom the subject has any meaning knows, I get justifiably pissed. This. Happpens. To me. Every. F***ing. Day. And I'm sick of it.

Honestly I'm just not selling any fanart to avoid the trouble of that rule. XD I did well enough last year without it.
