Yet another question... would doing Team Fortress 2 fanart just be too gosh darn risky? XD
I'm freaking out...

I was just about to print my two best pieces... and my printer gives me a weird error message. I look in the manual, and it says to unplug it, wait, and if you get the same thing, call the company. I unplugged it, waited, and got the same thing. So I unplugged it again and it's still unplugged.

I'm leaving for the con... well, it's 1:30 AM, so it's officially Wednesday now, so I'm really leaving tomorrow. Thursday at Noon. So there's no time to go to a copy shop and I don't know if they'd print fanart for me anyway...

I'll try it again, and if not, I guess I'll ask my tablemates, but they don't get to the con until Fri. night...

ugh... I don't know what to do...

edit: Plugged it back in, still no luck. I have one plan that probably won't work... but it's a small hope. But I did see an awesome cosplay on DA that made me feel a bit better.

Edit again: I guess I'll go to the print shop near me tomorrow. I'll print everything there except the Harry Potter picture, since they'll probably recognize that one as fanart. Or I'll ask if it falls into parody, since it's non-HP characters at Hogwarts... I don't know. I e-mailed my only friend whose house I'd be able to get to tomorrow and asked if I could use her printer tomorrow... if only she'd check her e-mail often enough for me to think she'd get it before tomorrow night...
I have a question:

I see a lot of artists at AA use a metal frame type of thing to hang prints from (the type that forms a contour on top of the table). Where can those be bought?

You can get them from walmart or target. There was a discussion about the cheapest place to buy them a few pages back.

I was rather surprised when I saw a bit of it at Anime Expo. I don't think any lawyers came screaming.

Huh...I may have to try it out then...It's a fun fandom to be involved in and I fan out of respect for it. XD

It is. xD I don't even play the game, but I love the characters.

Oh wow so cute!!!! I wouldn't sell them for under $20.
Wow, I've only got 3 more weeks until the con. Should have the comic completed this weekend.

So aside from the stuff to sell, what else is a good idea to bring?
I've got paper towels, kleenex, hand sanitizer, tape, scissors, gonna get some allergy/headache medicine just in case...
I got a bunch of bags from work that perfectly fit a 8.5x11" so I can use those for purchases.

@realfaunie
Those are adorable! Take into account materials cost and time to make, and maybe double or triple it?
Maybe make a few smaller ones too?

I found this guide to be soo helpful.
http://www.projectbluerose.com/tutorials/anime-convention-artist-alley-survival-guide/g-what-to-bring-to-the-con/
It's got eveything you might need listed and it has a lot of other helpful tips too.
DarKlaw: I would suggest water, food (beef jerky, fruit, energy bars... something small, portable, and easy to store at room temperature)--at least a little anyhow, anti-cold meds (emergen-c, airborne, vitamin C, that kind of stuff), and cold/flu meds... you're in close contact to a lot of people in a short period of time, many of whom are either lacking in the hygiene department or have started coming down with something but refused to stay home from their convention. I get sick probably at least one con a year, so I usually try to keep a bottle of dayquil around to keep myself going.

@Konbanwa_megami
Ok thanks! biggrin
@DarKlawStudios
I do have smaller ones. However, trying to figure out the cost of the materials is a bit tricky as a lot of what I use has been acquired through recycled means and I don't want to over price so terribly that I won't sell at all.
@konbanwa_megami: Oh, that link is genius. Thank you for posting it. smile

@realfaunie: Those are cute. I'd probably sell them for 10-15, assuming that works out properly with cost of materials and such.
