Though my general love of money (the idea of being paid for my efforts... not necessarily breaking even/profit.) kind of drags me out of my shell... It's how I don't preemptively bawl my little eyes out at portfolio reviews anyway... >_> Damn paranoid tendencies and mean worldview...

Surprisingly, so am I. ^^;; But I've worked in a ton of customer-service type jobs, so I'm used to customer interaction and can work past it. ^^

....Is it wrong of me that I'm starting to draw Valentine's day cards for Ohayocon in the middle of June? XD; The idea came to me last Ohayocon because it's so close to V-day. I'm getting on it now because if I procrastinate, I won't have time to get them printed up.

This one should be fun to color.

Oh God, that's cute! biggrin And no, not wrong, it's advance planning, which I personally SUCK at! It's a great idea, I've seen valentines before and they're always a fun thing to have. (If I were more clever in that way I'd maybe draw some up myself, I've thought of it... we'll see what comes of planning this year.)

I'm hoping that Detour is near Easter again, so I can do my Easter-themed contest, that was a lot of fun and went over well (and cleared out some excess stuff really well). I should maybe do Christmas cards for Nebraskon if I stick with that one, too... I'm on the fence. Half of me knows I need to do it to justify the trip, the other half wants to just hang out with friends and have fun. sweatdrop

AA reg starts for Ohayocon soon, doesn't it? Unfortunately I wasn't able to go to any other cons this year, but I want to do that one again. :3 Especially since if I keep up my current drawing speed, I'll be able to have the first chapter of Avalon in print by the time it rolls around.

I'm not sure, but I'll have to start keeping an eye on it to try to get in again... I know Emily was asking me at a recent con how I felt about how it was run and if I was coming back again... Heh. And I do want to, so I'd better pay attention.

I've never worked retails.

Though it is perhaps a bad sign that children avoid me at all costs when I work at the Kumon Center... They never want to sit at my table and if they do sit at my table, they actually walk to the helpers at the other table for help!

If you feel comfortable with it, I'll have a hotel room and probably only a single assistant again, so you're welcome to share. We're generally fairly quite and laid-back, and keep things pretty tidy in the room overall. No worries if you say no, but I'll extend the offer. ^_^

Usually I like to stick to no more than 4-5 people in a double-occupancy hotel room, but I'm open to discussion to help bring the price down. If you want to talk more about it, I'd say friend-request me so we can do it via PMs (I have to keep closing them down to friends-only). ^_^
