Adobe Illustator, Adobe inDesign, Photoshop, and Flash MX are a few programs that can do vector-based drawings.

Don't use photoshop. It has only the most primitive of vector capabilities, and really doesn't do anything that can't be done with creative use of the selection tool. Flash MX would work fairly well, but is more for animating than simple image rendering. inDesign is a fully vector-based program designed for making magazine and newspaper layouts. The best choice for vector artwork is the one that's already been presented to you: Adobe Illustator. It has a wide variety of tools that all work entirely in vector-coding. It was designed for artist vector work, and produces wonderful results. cool

Bwee.. how helpful. ~.~ Here I am panicing over what to do when Ohayocon rolls areound.. XD

Does anyone know what a good vector program is..? I'm planning on making buttons... having scored a button-maker..

But I think my art style would look a bit better if it were vector. D8

Adobe Illustrator is the only program that I know of that you can do vector style in, but I'm sure there are others (and I'm also doubly sure that someone that knows the other programs will mention this!)! sweatdrop

Hey, it's a start. ^.^ Thanks.

i think you can use photoshop ~ http://www.melissaclifton.com/tutorial-vector.html

Actually, I've always found Flash easier for static vector images than Illustrator... but I also haven't had a chance to use Illustrator with a tablet yet (all my experience there has been on school computers using only a mouse, and it's been years since I did it too). Still, I've seen notes from other artists too who do have both that it's much easier to put things together in Flash than Illustrator... I hope to compare sometime.

On another note, I did an unexpected experiment in the difference in talking to people at the table this past weekend when I lost my voice for part of the con. crying I made practically no sales until I got a little squeak back, and sales weren't too great for the rest of the con even when I could speak a little (it's still not back). At least I still had a good time and turned a profit... ^^

-My DA-
Do we need any kind of license to sell things in artist alley?

You need a seller's permit. biggrin

Question: Where does one get one's stickers printed? D: All the places I found only do 200+. ><;

gonk How do I get that? (and how much does it cost? >>; )

only certain places need a sellers permit, not all cons are the same ~

be sure to read the faqs or forums of the con you're attending, it'll usually tell you if you need such things

*dies* The rules aren't up yet @_@

Thanks smile Good to know not ALL need it heart

Life is pain... anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something.

I like where we are,
When we drive, in your car
I like where we are.... Here

Cause our lips, can touch
And our cheeks, can brush
Our lips can touch here

Well you are the one the one that lies close to me
Whisper's hello I miss you quite terribly
I fell in love, in love with you suddenly
Now there's no place else I could be but here in your arms

Thank you so much n____n !!

I fell in love, in love with you suddenly
Now there's no place else I could be but here in your arms

I like where you sleep,
When you sleep, next to me.
I like where you sleep... here
Cause our lips, can touch
And our cheeks, can brush
Our lips can touch here

If you want a very short run of stickers to see if they sell, then I would suggest buying packet of sticker sheets to make them yourself on your home printer. It might be more expensive per sticker that way, but if they don't sell you'll be glad you did.

Here is a good place for smaller orders (well, less than 200), though:
