Very helpful thread - bookmarked. X3

Having a booth at artist alley is on my to do list. I'm especially interested in doing some doujinshi and some doujin games (maybe like a dating sim?).

One of my biggest hurdles is time. I'm a college student so the majority of my attention is else where. But I'm graduating next spring (degree in graphic design), so hopefully I'll be able to get work done. I'm so picky about my work too. >_<

Remember that if you're doing doujinshi, the rules at various cons do differ regarding fanart, so check the rules before getting started. (I'm doing the application now for Ohayocon, which won't even consider you if your portfolio is more than half fanart.)

I always wanted to do a doujinshi....either Weiss Kreuz or Slayers is what I'd do, if I ever did. Most of my time is spent on my original works, so I doubt that'd ever happen.

I ordered some stickers from Zazzle, since I had a $10 gift certificate. Anyone know how their stickers are?

No idea. A friend of mine from another corner of the intarwebz, though, has apparently used Paper Forest for stickers to sell at anthro cons (specifically the Standard Cut-Through option), and says they look very professional and very good.

I wish I could remember the service used by one of my usual cohorts, the stickers from them are also extremely professional, but fewer options are available (and the cost is fairly high comparatively).

I might try Paper Forest sometime, but I'll likely wait until I have some pictures good for die-cutting. I ordered the pictures I'm using for buttons, so those actually look best in the circle-cut stickers Zazzle offers.

I guess I'll let you guys know how the stickers are. :3

Awesome, please do ^^

My soft deadline for my book will pass tomorrow (boo, not done), but after my hard deadline is hit (I'm pretty sure I can make it, wish me luck!), I'm going to start work on some sticker sheets to do through Paper Forst... I'm thinking 4x5 pages, which gives me eight per sheet... (Making the minimum order 40 sets, and 80 cents per set).

I know for sure two sets I'm doing, and looking at three others, though I need to find the existing designs I plan to modify for them...

Good luck, VM.
Seijaku - I haven't heard anything particularly fantastic about zazzle, but haven't heard anything horrible either. smile

Aaargh. With the forum reorganisation, we're going to get three times as much spam as we did before. crying

Christ almighty, no joke there... I'm so sick of reporting spam on this thread... At least the captcha isn't all that picky most of the time.

I'm in the midst of toning pages 12 and 13 (sort of skipping 11 for a moment)... I've still got to pencil and ink pages 14-29, but I think I can do this. I've got two days off and two half days a week for the next three weeks (counting this one), so if I bust my a** I can pull it off.

Seijaku, I LOVE it! biggrin
