Guh.
I HATE that one style, where the elbows, shoulders, knees, nose, and cheeks.. have that crazy pinky red color.. and then white dots piled on top. It's not cute, it's not fleshy colored.
It's sunburned.
With a bad need of aloe vera gel.
I do the little rosy cheek thingie
sad . But I like the ruddy color. At least, for me, it gives the pictures I color more dimension and depth, since it kinda rounds things off. Plus, I'm one of those sorta-kinda older artists that grew up around a lot of Norman Rockwell, and I still adore him. He's the one that actually started the trend
razz .
No no, that's not what I mean. I love the actual rosy cheek, the natural one, I love Norman Rockwell's blush on his children and people. xD. Like on Santa Clauses from Norman Rockwell. It's natural, many people have ruddy faces, and he makes them part of the character, natural, and part of his style.
I don't like the anime one.. where not only the cheeks are rosy, but so are the joints on the body for no reason. Dx And to top it off, they put a white dot in the middle of it. That's not Norman Rockwell, it's just a trend, he didn't start this trend. I don't see any white dots on the blushing cheeks he paints.
