hair: dark greyish blue. Sometimes blackish.

personality: Jas is really silly and clumsy and such, and has an odd sense of humor. She has lots of things she is embarrassed about, she's tired a lot of the time (because she rarely sleeps well), and she also gets stressed out or confused easily. She cries far too often than necessary. But she has moments of quiet serenity and introspection, and she is really pretty intelligent on a good day. She is a big romantic at heart, and really takes love sincerely. Sadly, she has never been loved back by someone she loves. Because of this, on rare occasions she can get really pissed off or jealous. Here is a list of things Jas particularly likes. (You don't have to use any of that if you don't want to. Haha). Jas started the Gambino Support Thread in 2005, and has been an avid supporter since 2004. During the Gambino Tower Drive in 2005, she sold all of her items for the cause.

note on scar: Basically Jas went through some emotional crap when she was younger and gave herself that scar in the process. So it is literally on her face. It's not make-up or anything. The scar is kind of like saying, "my past was crap at times, but look how strong I am now!" 8D

Past commissions/gift art: I don't have a lot of high quality art like the Gambinos do, haha. So these will have to do for reference pictures! Sorry!

Here ^ are a few of my favorite avatars for Jas. If you like what my avatar is currently wearing, save it! You can use that as an idea, too. (: You don't HAVE to draw any of these outfits. See after this paragraph for details. I also have an angelic sash, which Jas would wear quite a lot, but I don't like the way it layers on her avatar. D: So include it if you like! <3

If you're not into drawing Gaian items and want to think of Jas as an OC (which she kind of is), I have also included in that gallery some examples of outfits she'd wear as an OC. I'm not super creative, so please add your own details or come up with your own outfits. heart Just remember her scar, and if at all possible her elegant blue ribbon as well. She wears her ribbon for tradition as well as a defense mechanism. If you disclude it, she should be in a vulnerable situation, caught offguard (for instance, asleep). Jas also likes to wear silver jewelry, especially a full heart pendant and a half heart pendant. She sometimes wears friendship bracelets, too, and really likes flip-flops because she has slightly sensitive feet. Other than that... go with your instincts! :3

the man: Johnny is a megalomaniac with a big laugh and a bigger personality. He's a ladies' man with loads and loads of gold. He loves his son, Gino, though he may not always approve of the way Gino lives his life. Johnny has been through some really tough times in the past though, so he's a big softy on the inside. heart

Jas' relationship with Johnny: Jas really wants Johnny to be proud of her. He's kind of like a second father, and she supports everything he does with all her heart. She really wants him to succeed and she's a really big fan. If you hadn't noticed. :3 I don't have any clear pictures of the two of them together (which is one of the reasons I'm holding this contest). Some ideas for you would be Johnny and Jas slapping five, Johnny giving a Jas a thank-you hug, or Johnny and Gino on a picnic with Jas! In fact any picture with Johnny, Gino and Jas participating in a fun family activity would make her squee with joy. :3

personality: Awkward, sweet, shy, funny and sometimes a little lazy, Gino has been through a lot of sadness in his life, so that affects everything he does. He has a profound passion for life, though, and his heart is very big. He's trying to figure out who he is, where he stands with his father, and what his future holds. It's a hard thing to do. Gino is actually very good at art himself!
Jas' relationship with Gino: Jas and Gino started out as friends in 2004, and that's mostly what they are. There's definitely a little... awkward blushiness there. Jas has a major crush on Gino now that she's older, but she's too nervous to tell him because she doesn't want to be seen as just another fangirl. She really wants Gino to succeed. All she really wants is for him to be happy. And to mature -- become the sweet man he could be, in a less... dastardly way than Liam may want him to. She'd like it if he liked her back. She feels like it's not going to happen any time soon.

Please note: each picture must include Jas with either Gino or Johnny, or both.
Jas must be in all pictures, and no singles are allowed.
(So you have the choice of either "couple" or group.)

I'm going to require about 50 entries in order to ensure good competition. :3
But hopefully that won't be an issue. heart I would prefer 100 or more!
There are 34 possible prizes to win, so I think my demands are reasonable. heart

Each individual piece of art is eligible to win only one prize.

You may submit multiple entries, but I appreciate quality far above quantity.
If you submit more entries it will not inherently increase your chances,
unless you work very hard and are very proud of each. :3

Any type of visual media is allowed, other than avatar edits and photo manips,
because I can't see myself judging those fairly against other art.
If you have a little story based on your picture you'd like to share,
that's absolutely allowed, though. :3 Because it is super cute. <3

Since it has also been asked a few times, I'll place the answer here:
I will also accept comic pages as entries.
Also, if you are wondering how much you should draw of the characters,
(full/half/etc body), my answer is draw what inspires you.

I prefer you give me the largest file size you have of the art, if possible. I can PM you my email if necessary.

I prefer that you post your entries in the thread,
but if you're uncomfortable with that for whatever reason, let me know.
I'd prefer not to receive PMs because I have auto-text messages from them on.

Submit your OWN ART only.
If I find it's been stolen/traced/anything else, you will be immediately disqualified.
It will be all of your entries, not just the one I found was stolen.
