My Norn Guardian is awesome.
From what I see, Guardians are sort of Warrior-Monks in Guild Wars, comparable to a Cleric I'd say.
Their Traits are a bit hard, they don't feel as straight forward as the Necromancer's for example, that I focus on Minion Mastering so I do Death Magic.
They can be front liners or back liners, since their skills and weapons can put them in the middle of everything, duking out AoE with hammers and great-swords or striking quickly with shield and sword. Or from the side-lines with staves and such, buffing people in the front and snaring enemies.
They also have team healing, buffing, burning, shielding, etc. As well as enhanced healing, self and to allies, not to mention the heavy armour.
Spirit weapons are useful for when you're soloing or for when you're the last one standing against a boss, champion or veteran.
I've figured out different tactics and ways to play a Guardian, so I usually end up mixing it up a little.
As for weapons, I think the Great Sword is My favourite, Hammers are fun but slow and somewhat inflexible.
I also carry a torch handy ever since the pirate puzzle in Lion's Arch.
Something I do a lot in world events is charge straight into the biggest group of enemies sending them flying away, then bind them all and pull them right back to Me to dish out more area damage with My huge sword swinging and passive fire setting.
It rakes up large amounts of XP and only one charge like that gets Me Gold in any event.
So yea, Guardians area probably one of the most complicated professions in GW2, but My Norn is definitely the funnest to play.
