Lol, you don't have to read necessarily. Just check out your school and see if they have a DECA chapter. And join. It's really fun. :] I love DECA! It's a really big part of my life.

Well, I'm not sure you'll be able to sell anything if you never create a shop. xd

Intrigued, intrigued.

But how am I supposed to know or choose what to draw? So many people and options... surprised

Ah, no, that's after financial aid. The original tuition is $40k a year, but the admissions officer told me I would get enough aid from them to make it $15k a year - and that is aid from the school alone.

The economic crisis is unfortunate, especially when you're looking for employment. D: As for a career....just do what you like to do! xp That's how I feel about it. Then again, I like to do pretty much everything. However, in most cases, you should be able to make a career out of at least one hobby you have. For example, drawing could be a career. You could try taking one of those "What career is the right one for you?" quizzes that are floating around everywhere.

Yeah, that's a heck lot. If I were to go there for my undergrad, no doubt it would've been at least 60k. I have considered art as a career but knowing myself best, I can't make art a 'job.' I just can't. I like to do it because want to, not because I have to. *shrugs* What I REALLY want is to make a living as an author but as that still isn't realistic enough, writing will just be my side job. What I would REALLY enjoy doing, however, is analyzing. Not numbers, but social trends, patterns and the like. Not sure what kind of job that would be though. I have considered think tanks but I'm not even sure how I would get my foot in the door xp .

Oh, I meant a year (I don't know if you did, but I don't know any place that is 60k a year). The Stanford tuition is $40k a year, which is $160k for four years. With the scholarship, it is $60k for four years.

I'm planning on doing something similar; I actually want writing to be my main focus, but I will have a stable job in business or politics or something like that, since I know writing isn't stable.

As for you, have you ever thought of being a Market Research Executive for a company? With Market Research, it is basically analyzing social trends for business, i.e. what type of products do customers want, how much are they willing to pay, etc. IDK, that's the first thing I thought of when I heard you wanted to evaluate social trends. xd

You could also be a Sociologist, whose main job is also to analyze social trends, but for a more scientific reason. I'm not sure if that career is stable though.
