Yeah, I don't expect to actually be published by the time I apply. However, if I have established contact with a particular agent or company I should be able to weave that into one of my essays or add it to some part of my application, since colleges usually like hearing about such circumstances. The estimated publish date that I have always envisioned is 2010.
I virtually have no money as well, but I plan on earning a lot of scholarships. I guess I will have to take the rest in loans. :[
But it is great that you found a low-expense college that worked for you! I just haven't been able to find such an opportunity.
2010 sounds like a really realistic date
3nodding And yeah, as long as you find one, it'll most likely make your application stronger, and stand out more. My college was far from inexpensive. Actually, it was up to 33k+ a year by the time I graduated, which, I think is a LOT. I was too lazy and busy to make time for scholarships (no motivation you see, since I couldn't see myself getting one) and since I could scrape by with loans, I did. That doesn't mean I didn't apply for some. I did apply, but I never got any so it was... disheartening. Go for scholarships though, because if you get them, they make your life so much easier.
