Oh, that makes sense. Do you live in China or are you just visiting? Chinese is my second-choice language to learn next year for my school's foreign language requirement. :] (Japanese is my first)

I'm still looking through old art contests. I love seeing award ceremonies! I'm excited to do mine now, even though I haven't even gotten any entries yet. rofl

Oh wow! I didn't realize you had written a book! It sounds really intriguing. Will it be up on Amazon when it gets published?

Working, actually. Chinese is easier than Japanese, or so says my sister who has taken both languages. And, at least in Chinese, you don't have to learn slang. Apparently, when Japanese is taught, you're taught the politest form of communicating, which, in Japan, most people don't really use, so it becomes kind of useless. The pro of learning Japanese however, is that you don't have to deal with 'tones' or how one says the words. Japanese is a neutral tone where as in China's official language, you have four tones. Say one tone wrong and it can mean something completely different.

Anyway, I'm not sure if you know that, but I thought I'd just add that since we're starting on languages wink .

Yes, whichever company I publish with should have it available through Amazon.

I recommend going to the site (http://www.theschoolsonline.info) and signing up for the mailing list. By signing up for notifications, you will receive updates about the book, I.E. when it will be available, and you will have the chance to win free copies of the book (if my publisher doesn't host a contest, I'll just buy some copies myself and give them out). I should send the next update out later in the week; I'm just waiting for a few more people to join, so if you know people who might be interested show it to them. :]

That is very good to know! I really am debating between Chinese and Japanese for next year, so any opinion about it helps. The main reason I chose Japanese is that I think it would be easier to travel to than China, both because of the amount of smog and because the Chinese are dominated by a communist faction of government. I'm just deciding between the two because I might pursue international business relations.

That first page is a lot of reading, but somehow I managed it. 3nodding

    Yayyy. xd

I mostly put it all so if you have like a specific interest you can look it up. Like if you want to draw Josh, you can look up just Josh's relationships. Then if you want, you can look at the settings or the scenes relating to Josh. Basically, I wanted to give the artist a large variety of ideas to choose from. 3nodding

It's cool that you read it though; I know it can be overwhelming. razz Are you thinking of entering?

@kayley: I think about joining everything I get invited too, but I rarely find time for them unless I'm inspired right away. I'll have to see how life pans out
Believe it or not, I'm in DECA as well, and choir. I'm from Toronto, Canada. If you're class of '10, then i'm a year older than you. And I must say, I'm very impressed by your accomplishment on writing/publishing a triology, at such a young age.
