Here's a category that's always very close to my heart, Best Moony & Twisty
Tatiiii This was such a cute entry. It's very much the sort of thing we'd wear (in fact, I bought him that shirt a few years ago), and the sort of thing we'd do. I have to admit, I sort of wish there was a couch or something in the background, but this way the focus is entirely on us! The shading and detail in the hair is great, and the facial expressions never cease to crack me up. I feel like Twisty's smug about beating me, and trying not to gloat while I grumble under my breath. This one, and a much sexier one that actually had a funny personal connection. Unfortunately, it was brought to my attention that the other entry I was considering was quite blatantly copied from a photo, and no admission of reference was included. As per the rules, I could not consider it for a prize. rules ...Please note that this also means no eyeballing/tracing other work. I realize no pose is original, but if I find that your artwork has been clearly copied from something else (or it gets brought to my attention somehow), the entry will be disqualified... |

AKI go RAWRR @ Kuri-Mu Momo- Prisma pencils are pricy~ buy they are worth every penny! I'd recommend them to anybody. What kinda paints do you like to use? <33 For art, its worth it. I'm just a little sad that there are no art stores in my town. But the nearest city isn't too far. Thank you, i will keep my eyes open for them. =D I like using acrylic, but i have used oil paints once. I painted my mother an angel holding a crystal rose. It was very pretty for my second painting. |

Before we continue to the top four, I'd just like to say there were so many entries I wanted to award prizes to. In a few cases I was really torn and had to just step away and come back. I asked friends and family for input too, but always ended up coming back to certain entries. So with that in mind, I've got a few honourable mentions to offer. Kaiser_chan - I love the avatar in your entry so much, I just wish it had been cropped a little closer, I feel like it gets lost a bit in the background. WikkedWitch - Lovely details, and I'm glad someone chose this avatar, as I am very fond of it. I just feel that the anatomy could have been stronger. Machiavellite - If I could have given three prizes for real media, I would have. Your rainbow smoke is so awesome! Each of you will be getting a pink gift box. I'm sorry, I know it's not much, but I'm basically broke now gonk |

(going on 4+ years and it still comes out as fresh as the day i got it.) |

And now, it's getting exciting! I feel like this is going faster than I anticipated. XD Fourth place Kyatia_KO (both entries) I really enjoy the stylized feel of these entries. The graphic style and simple use of colour really appealed to me. The artist chose apprpropriate avatars that would suit her style and found a way to combine her personality with mine. I really appreciate that. Third place! Getting close to the end!!! [malee] This soft, subdued take on this avatar is very pretty. I love the glittering silver, and the peaceful facial expression. The pose it a bit stiff, but the overal feel of the piece makes up for it in my eyes.
