Actually your memory reminds me of mine with Crossfire. However, unlike yours being fun and awesome, mine was somewhat of a let down seeing as how I was expecting the same awesomeness factor from the commercials.

I could understand how you and your brother would be disappointed by the game. The commercial has this intense adrenaline rush going; rocking music and flames and cheering crowds. It's a lot different setting than playing on the living room floor or on the dining room table. Sure you could crank up the stereo and set the curtains on fire... but then the parents get all upset and start lecturing you on arsonistic tendencies. And where's the fun in that?

We should start a 'broadsword' awareness event! If Phineas and Ferb could do it with the word 'aglet' I don't see why we can't bring the word 'broadsword' into the lime light! x3

I think you might be onto something. Will have to put pen to paper in the morning and see if the muses will inspire me enough to create some worthy lyrics...

Random rant moment: I feel so bad for this girl who apparently had her contest thread taken down because she was taking suggestive content even though she said she wouldn't post it to the site. I do understand Gaia's reasoning in this but at the same time she made it plain that she wasn't going to advertise the art that she might get that would be against Gaia's ToS rules. So yea, call me crazy but I don't see the big deal. :T

Sadly what you say is true. It would have been an extra bit of work to recreate the commercial in our own house. Setting fire to the house and playing rock music via the stereo just seems like so much unwanted work, and then there's that mess afterwards as well. It was much easier pushing the game under the bed while we nursed our disappointed spirits. Much easier indeed--and far less messy! xD

I like where this may be heading Xaos! If you do in fact find your creative gears turning in the right places to crank out a possible song for 'broadsword ' awareness, I will gladly advertise it any way that I can! :"D

That tends to happen in the Art Freebies often. I understand what you mean.

It truly is a shame sometimes. There's some very talented artists out there, and it always saddens me when they limit themselves (such as only being willing to draw the fairer sex). I've still been able to find some great artists, though.

In fact, a friend of mine had steered me to Sakura because of her exceptional artistic talents. Bought some great pictures from her shop as well as even received a few "freebies" over time. I don't think I've ever seen Sakura in the art freebie forums, which just makes her all the cooler for giving the occasional gifts. Kind and talented and great sense of humor... The girl rocks!
