Yes. I'm following 4 right now, although 2 of them are closed or waiting for WIPs. I'm glad you guys started up another contest thread that I can hang in when those two go away.

We talk about knitting in my thread way more than is healthy. I could probably use an influx of diversity. xd

Ooh so many. There are some bits and pieces i remember from my early years on this site and Sabin's art contests are quite prominent in that department!

@Sabin: Oh my. *tries rubbing some of the Muse juice onto self and spreads pages of sketchbook so it can dry without sticking the pages together*

As for my new computer and my CS4, For some reason the blending and colors is all wrong, but ONLY on my photoshop. D8 And no ones been able to figure out how to fix it or whats even wrong. Which has been frustrating, trying to work on Sandpainters and portfolio pieces with warped colors and blocky shading -- It keeps doing this annoying thing where shading is not only blobby, but the blending between shades gets this "Halo" of a different color rather then blending smoothly DX warg.

(If anyone here knows wtf is going on and how to fix it, I would be eternally grateful - and hell, at the very least make them a free sandpainter if they fix it lol)

mindsend- The only time I encounter weird haloing when blending is when the two colors are on separate layers and it adds white in when trying to interact with the transparency. Sounds really odd. sad

And small world - I got my master's finally, and am now working towards a teaching degree smile
That's fantastic that you're working on your book! I wish you the best with that - and congrats on your hedgie!! I know you've wanted one for some time. Unfortunately, ours isn't :/ A few winters ago we had left her with a friend when we went out of town, and we think that she got too cold sad
But, as of a few weeks ago, we did get a new puppy who's been an endless source of energy and adorableness (much to Gavin's dismay) : Kitsuko
And Ethan... wow, 2006 now! There was a false start wtih a game that died, and finally he was resurrected in a new game that took off at least a good chunk of time to allow some good story and development of the character ^.^ Little bugger really grew on me wink

Aich, Dragon, I'm sorry sad But it sounds like there will be another opportunity, and maybe a slimmer course load will help give you the chance to catch your breath and attack it again with renewed vigor without burnout?

I'm flattered you remember, Gomez! I did run quite a few - and it's always been something I've really enjoyed doing through the Gaia site, even when the site was still small and young smile

@ Mindsend - that's really bizarre. For some reason my computer refuses to run OC properly - making all stroke marks four inches to the left. Just open canvas, and just with the tablet. *shrugs* I hope that it's not some unbeatable quirk sad I think I can visualize what you're talking about, but I wouldn't know what would cause that - especially if it's just in one program...
I'm guessing you've tried uninstalling/reinstalling... have you access to a different version of photoshop maybe? Or deleting some of the old preferences...?

@Emelyn: Sandpaints is my usual hang out now: I co-own and co-art the shop and happen to be really proud of it. That and AIM, of course. I'm pretty much constantly logged onto it to RP. Its just sooooo much easier for my ADD to keep track of it then the guilds @_@ XDD

@ Sabin: *bookmarks the link* thanks. Hopefully I can figure it out and get it settled. For now, I'm just struggling to work around it and previewing often using Save for web. >_< woo.
