Welcome to my contest thread everyone! I've not been on gaia in a loooong time, but I've had a lot of stuff stashed back from when I use to visit often many years back. One of the items I happen to have stuffed away was a demonic pendant.. ok I lie I have a few stuffed away, I'm a hoarder lol. Anyways, I decided to part with one in order to get a design made for my new vespa! Awesome right?!
Normally I would do something like this on my own but I'm waaaay too swamped with work these days to find the time to do such a thing. That and I'm a little blank (artists block) at the moment. There's one thing I know for sure however, all of you are great artists that I know I can count on!
There's just a few small details that you must know before you enter this contest. No worries, its nothing too bothersome!
There's only going to be one prize, the one I choose at the end of the contest is the one that will get the prize - a flashy Demonic Pendant! Yep, you heard me right, those suckers are awesome, and go up in price over time. So your not winning just gold, your winning something that's value will increase! Currently those are priced at around 700k. Pretty spiffy prize don't you think?
The contest will last for 2 months. So everyone has PLENTY of time to enter. Take your time and do something really great. Contest ends on April 5th!
Your allowed to enter more then one design! So if you think of something you like better you don't have to pick and choose which you like most in the long run. Let your mind run wild!
I do have some guide-lines for what I had in mind. So try to stick with this theme.
Black Vespa, Pink accents (you choose the shade) and Cherry blossoms.
However just cause I had this theme in mind does not mean you cant try different things. I might be surprised and choose your idea instead.
I will require at least 20 entries by the end of the contest. If there is not a sufficient amount of entries or at least one that I really really like enough to use as a design for the artist doing my vespa's paint job, then I will not be able to award the necklace. I will however send smaller prizes to those who took the time to enter so no worries there. Hopefully it wont come to this.
I have a template you can use if you like, so that makes the job even easier! Cause even if your not good at drawing vehicles that's perfectly ok! Since you have a guide to help. If you do not want to use this guide then that's fine too, draw to your heart's content!
Make sure to submit both a full image shot of the Vespa with the decal as well as any close up images of the decals. I will need these close up images so that it can be duplicated by the shop I'm having it customized at. So please be mindful of this.
