Thanks! Well a bunch of my stuff was sold before it was frozen too. (like I said, about 2mil gold worth) And it was all restored to my account. I dunno how they do that cuz I don't think they actually take it back from the people who bought it... they probably just "rewind" the account? But then again, some things were still different so I dunno. sweatdrop

I don't understand why people feel the need to take other people's items/gold that they worked so hard for. They just take the cheap, easy way out. It's ridiculous. rolleyes

Thanks guys! Yea well it happened January 18th I believe, which, almost four months I guess it could've been longer. xD I was really excited last week when I got a PM saying they were working on my case.

As for my items, I'm friends with Moonblossom and I immediately PMed her from Neon_Panda telling her the situation. She had noticed earlier that day that my avatar had unequipped everything and she thought it was funny but I guess she didn't want to do anything unless she knew for sure. Plus, I'm not sure if she has those capabilities. Anyways, she immediately froze all trading abilities and was able to tell me what was sold and to whom, etc. It was really weird because whoever it was sold about 2mil worth of stuff to seemingly random people in the marketplace and kept the gold in the account... At least I knew when I got my account back I would have most of the funds to buy it back (inflation would've made it harder)- I then asked her to ban the account so nothing could be done at all, I filled out a hacking report, and viola!

When I logged in I was fully prepared to have to buy everything again (kiki, chuck noris scarf, etc. pretty expensive stuff) and found I only had like 2k. All my stuff was in my inventory like nothing had happened! I was pretty thrilled. <3 The only thing that I did notice was different was my gaia cash went from like 800 to 2. But, I had a biancamella I had wanted! xD

Everything worked out fine and I'm really relieved to have no permanent damage done.

Remember! Even if you're super cautious about not giving out your password (which I always was), there's still ways for it to happen to anyone and changing your password regularly is a good way to minimize the risks. I still have no idea how it happened or who did it. I guess I'll never know... whee

yeah because of all the recent hacking, I've been pretty paranoid about my password and try and change it every few months or so XD~ It's so hard to find the moderators and stuff though. That part of gaia isn't very clearly set up. Maybe it's in the forums somewhere...

Man, then hackers ARE stupid! I know I reported my share, but to go for us poor people is even lower than low! (not that taking from the rich is good...but how lame can they get?!)

Sometimes they go for poor gaians so they may use those accounts to hack/scam other users. Which is pretty lame. But i think all hackers and scammers are lame.
