Welcome to our newest contest! This is our biggest one yet. Instead of covering just one project, this contest spans across three: The Lattice Grimoire, our webcomic; Project Swordsmith, our under-development video game; and our roleplaying games, which you can read the journals for The Woken Earth and The Gypsy Campaign This contest will begin on January 2nd, 2013 and end on January 14th, 2014. If that seems like way too long to wait, don't worry! We have mini contests every month and plenty of ways to earn prizes in the meantime. All the extra time means is that you can get more out of it by earning prizes in the meantime before the main prizes are even given out.
1. The main contest ends January 14th, 2014. Mini contests are one per month with the deadline on the last day of the month. 2. Follow the ToS with regards to mature content, referencing other people's images, and thread etiquette 3. Art has to be of my characters, not my avatar. Any one or more of the characters will do, doesn't have to be a main character, but keep categories in mind when you decide what to draw. Try seeing which categories don't have many entries, for a better chance to win 4. You can win multiple prizes, so do lots of entries! Each entry can only win one prize, unless it's a mini contest prize. Mini contest winners are still eligible for main prizes! 5. Each entry can win up to two times, once in the monthly contest and once in the main contest. 6. PM entries to Mint-Cloud. Entries submitted in the thread, or PMed to Bribble will still be accepted, but it helps to have them all in one place, so Mint-Cloud is the place to go! 7. All entries, whether they win or not, are mine, useable by me in any way I choose. They are also yours, in the same way that any fan art would be (meaning the art is yours to do what you like with, but you must credit me with the characters). 8. Please, no use of bases or dolls for this contest. 9. Feel free to ask questions about the characters, the world, or even for suggestions if you're having trouble making a decision on something. 10. IMPORTANT: PLEASE either use original costume designs or ones from the comic. DO NOT COPY FROM ANYONE ELSE. If you do have an idea for a cosplay entry or something like that MAKE SURE TO SAY WHERE THE IDEA CAME FROM.
So. The game. We have characters from 3 projects: The Lattice Grimoire, Project Swordsmith, and our RPG characters. Could we just come up with a bunch of prizes and say that you can draw from whichever? Sure. But that wouldn't create any sort of incentive to draw things that haven't been drawn yet to get better prizes. On the other hand, if we create thousands of ultra-specific categories and no one enters, we'll feel pretty silly. So here's what we're doing. Each project is a "Class". If you remember the level up system from our previous contest, you get experience points for doing things, and every 100 points you level up! But now there's a twist. You can level up either as a Courtier (the lattice grimoire), Knight (Project Swordsmith), or Mage (RPG characters). The more missions completed by a given class (read: the more entries submitted), the more prizes will be unlocked for that class. If you submit entries for multiple projects, you can multi-class and gain access to a wider range of prizes.
As you level, you will have the opportunity to unlock these prizes for your class. I will determine what category the prize will fall into, but it will be one that the unlocker has qualified for! Thus, the more you unlock prizes, the more the prizes will be likely to be awarded to the types of entries you have done. Categories will be based on things done in achievements, such as having multiple characters, song-related entries, backgrounds, etc.
How to pick a class: Just draw an entry for those characters! All of the experience you gain will automatically go towards the appropriate class.
How to level up: You level up by gaining experience points. Every 100 points, you'll gain a level. There are a lot of ways to gain experience points, but accomplishing achievements is the most profitable.

Rekindle - Pale Marionette - MP: 7,000,000
I can't really tell you how to get this right, but if you do, you'll win a huge prize for it! To win Rekindle, you must create a work of art that sparks my deep love of my project or character, whether it be the inspiration I need to forge ahead on new pages of the lattice grimoire, or a newfound love of getting into the head of one of my RP characters. The thing that makes this prize extra-special is that, unlike all other categories, the entry that wins this can ALSO win any other category, including the grand prize (though it won't necessarily win anything else) Any of the classes can win this prize.

Note that even if you did not personally unlock a prize, you can still win it if you fulfill the qualifications for the category, just like in a normal contest.
The characters from this category are from my webcomic, The Lattice Grimoire. Give it a read if you have time, it should help you understand the world and characters even better than the profiles do! For those who are new to it though, The Lattice Grimoire is a Victorian political intrigue webcomic which takes place in a fictional country called Morland. Questions are welcome!
The characters from this category are from the video game we are developing, Project Swordsmith. The setting is sort of WW2 themed, but they have super-soldiers called Knights who use melee weapons instead of guns and have super powers. Weird? Believe it or not, there actually is an explanation. But I'm trying to keep as far away from spoilers as possible, so if you have any specific questions, ask right away!
Design your own Knight
Design a propaganda poster
These characters are our roleplaying characters from our various tabletop games. Please note that there are three sets within this category, each set is a game, the characters do not branch over from one set to another (so, for example, Nemo and Mira don't exist in the same world and could never meet each other, so don't draw them together. Nemo can be drawn with Acklin, Sukennik, Heckler, and Ximena only, and Mira can be drawn with Frankie, Dani, and Clara). Refer to the suggestions section for acceptable crossovers.
The Angels
Exceptional people everywhere have been awakening to superpowers. Are they mutants? No! Angels! But the Angels and Demons are at war, and both want these kiddos on their side. They don't ask nicely either! Luckily, these angels can't die. Whenever they're hurt, they find that they grow back missing pieces. Now all they need to do is figure out what's going on!
The Gypsies
These girls are part of a race of people who live a similar lifestyle to real world gypsies (they aren't actually racially gypsies, but they are nomadic and have a similar mode of functioning). These people all have magical abilities and animal familiars that are manifestations of their souls. Meanwhile, WW2 has started and the Nazis are hunting gypsies with a vengeance. The team has taken to the road, alternately hiding and fighting to survive. Read the campaign journals for more information
The Lattice Grimoire 1. Remington with a unicorn. No matter how many people do this, I will still want more. 2.Anything involving Verity and Stars, or verity and stained glass windows. 3.Blake and Marcellus playing piano competitively (seriously competitive, not friendly competitive) 4.Anything involving rain 5.Any of the characters at a masquerade or simply in masquerade attire
Project Swordsmith 1. Matthew or Archer in any kind of over-glamorized fighting situation. (fighting each other playfully maybe) 2.Matthew or Archer in a grungy, realistic, bloody combat situation. Fighting masked, dangerous looking opponents or humanoid monsters made of dripping metal. (stay in the TOS though!)
The Woken Earth 1. Ximena and Nemo sitting at an outside table at a cafe wearing little black dresses (well, Nemo's is a dress, Ximena's is one of those sets of pants that looks like a dress because it's all flowy) with a bag of books at their feet 2. Ximena and Nemo climbing down from The London Eye 3. Sukennik and Acklin in a library, researching, one studying hard, the other sneaking a glance at the studious one (either can be in either position) 4. Sukennik and Nemo "knife fighting" with markers instead of knives. Sukennik with no shirt. 5. Sukennik and Heckler fighting back to back. 6. Heckler and Nemo eating chocolate together in a rainstorm 7. Ximena and Nemo breathing fire together. Magical girl or Sentai poses are encouraged. (this is blue-eyed nemo and scarred ximena) 8. Heckler and Nemo eating chocolate together in a rainstorm
The Angels 1. Noel and Liu climbing the Empire State Building 2.Lorena in a tacky black dress with bright orange tulle and sequins with matching black heels with tufts of orange. She looks very pleased with herself. Liu and Noel looking on in horror is optional. 3. Noel "yelling" at someone in sign language. Make her really feisty and like she wants to be loud, but can't talk. 4. Lorena and Noel texting each other (they text each other even when sitting side by side because Noel can't speak and Lorena stutters) 5. Noel as a reflection in a glass door with no real body 6. Liu arguing with, physically fighting with, or ignoring Cour-Brittany-Demon
The Gypsies 1. Frankie and her four duplicates, all hanging out together, chummy 2. Frankie drawing Mira 3. Dani telling the girls a story by the fire 4. Dani and Kadin teasing each other 5. Albus (clara's wolf familiar) keeping Dani warm while she sleeps, Clara might be keeping watch in the background 6. Clara playing with fire, fireworks, her lighter, etc. 7. Mira fixing a radio 8. Any of the girls playing with a baby dragon 9. Any of the girls wearing outfits from 1990 10. Any scene from the journals (including ones in the girls' imaginations)
