My laptop is fux0red. m'probably gonna have to either push back the judging or extend it. Idunno.

It's a Macbook Pro for starters - It turns on just fine, makes the startup chime the keys light up, little green light on the power cord is fine but my screen remains black.

emo So after googling it some, it's likely either my video card or the logic board. Neither will be pretty if I have to replace them cause the stupid video card is built into the mother board, and the logic board will just be plain ridiculous I imagine.

UGH. Just when I got my keyboard fixed.

SO regardless of whether I get it fixed or not, I'm selling the damn thing and getting something else. I'm not terribly pleased about that.


ANY-way - Rage, I love it, it's awesome and you rock <33 Don't worry about the background, I like it the way it is. Simple and doesn't detract from the main focus of the picture and that's the characters. Lol.


Althea - D: That's too bad! I was really excited about seeing that one! Do you have any Kinkos or FedEx in your area? Or libraries sometimes have scanners, I'm not sure where else but Office places like FedEx/Kinkos will have scanners and printers and stuff.

^^ It's all good if you can't and I'm happy you were able to submit the other piece!

We do make exceptions/extensions for folks with valid reasons for not being able to submit the final pieces on time. So if you decide you really wanna try for it, I can work something out, and my computer is fubared anyway - Dark is busy until the weekends and still doesn't have TOO much time to devote to the internet so the judging will probably take some time. XD

Elisane and Kat - Thanks. ^__^;; *Rubs the back of his neck.* I do really like the way the whole ensemble turned out. Figured that I would try something different and just draw... everyone. I need to make sure I stay in the habit of drawing different poses, hair, eyes, faces, etc. without relying too heavily on and repeating one theme.

I can honestly say I know what it's like to go without a computer. Which doesn't make the situation any easier, but after all the fuss of getting a new keyboard, too... well, if you do get a new one, I hope it works out better than your current one. x__x;;

So I found out exactly what my problem is and as it turns out, this is a VERY common issue and I have a decent chance of not having to pay a dime for the repair which would otherwise have cost me somewhere between 300 and 500 dollars.

Cause NVIDIA fails hard.

It's a defect, a well recognized defect with a faulty graphics processer manufactured by NVIDIA particularly the 8600M GT model. There's a faulty chip or something and it affects the entire fleebing logic board. Which is particularly pricey.

At first they were only extending their repair and refund service to two years, now Apple has extended it or is extending it to three years.

I am HOPING and PRAYING that my computer qualifies for this fix. Cause holy s**t, I would be the happiest, most grateful person alive.

God I hate Apple sometimes. I love their products, I love the Mac OS but their hardware and their service is crap.

@ Rage - It turned out awesomely epic and I love that you fit in ALL of the characters! o_____o That's crazy amazing! And I'm really excited cause the whole theme of the picture is hilarious. XD I love checking out everyone's different swim suits and stuff, all their expressions and the things they're doing is great.

And yeah it sucks, I have a backup laptop, it's an old dinosaur of a Dell. One of the much older models, it's okay for browsing the internet, it's surprisingly peppy in that aspect but that's about all I can do before it starts dragging it's feet. x.x I've had the thing for a long time though so I'm quite surprised it's still kicking. I didn't really care for Dell at first but Zach's family have always had Dells and always had good service and good computers sooo~

@ Wings - Ooooh! I love water colors! 4laugh That's an adorable pose and I looove her outfit! Dark will love it! heart I wasn't sure at first, what you were going to do with such a background - it didn't seem suitable for someone like Madison but now that you got her in there, I think it works really well! xD Madi is quite the tease. Lol!

Rasilyn's pose is still *wrong* XD. I love it when I start shading and coloring and I'm like, "man, this lineart is clearly neither anatomically correct nor physically possible."

So I think I'm gonna scrap everything but the head and redo it all in the next six hours. Yay!
