Well, I got to say that Aion is looking awesome since character customization lets you edit almost everything, similar to games like oblivion with sliders to adjust body width sizes and facial structure like the bones of the face or shape of the jaw.
BUT WHY THE ******** DOES EVERYONE ONLY HAVE POINTY EARS? |

I dont think theres even an ear slider. From the look of it, its the face and body shape you can manipulate as well as eyes and hair and their colour. But as the preview scrolls through all the headshots and how they're different, they all have the same ears. Every race, every face, they all have pointy ears.

That's kind of odd. A lot of the press shots and whatnot that I've seen all have normal rounded human ears. But I haven't seen a whole lot of pictures; I think the media intensity of the site coupled with all the tasks I'm trying to run on my computer are making it impossible to browse.

I can live with pointy ears if the game is awesome, and with how combat looks, it is definitely looking awesome. The Sorcerer and Gladiator just look so ******** badass to me (especially with the Sorcerer and how their robes whip around when casting stuff).
s**t, even Kat is interested after seeing the classes video and she almost refuses the idea of trying anything other than City of Heroes/Villains. Aion also has a really sweet feature - say, you get a piece of armor with really awesome stats but it looks like s**t. You can transfer the stats over to a piece you already have that looks better, so you can have armor that looks awesome and has good stats. This will help a LOT to create unique looks with equipment, as not everyone will look the same at high levels (whereas in most other games, they are all wearing the best armor and therefore look alike). |
