Contest is over! There's definitely a tie for most entries at this point, so I'm thinking about what to do there. (I'll contact the two who tied to get their input, as well.) But. Prizes will be posted around 5 p.m. EST on Friday.

A huge thank you to everyone who entered and chatted--I enjoyed finding new people to talk to and getting more art. I'm really impressed with a lot of the art that I received--definitely satisfied. XD (Everyone did come out at the end.) I'll have another contest (better-organized and prettier) at some point in the future--hopefully with bigger prizes as well. surprised Let me know if you would like to be notified when that time comes!

As far as the prizes go--given the extreme deflation that's happening, I'm slightly worried; I'll continue adding to them. I have had up two polls thus far--one asking if smaller (but more) prizes are preferable to larger (but fewer), and the result there was that, yes, larger prizes are slightly preferred--but it's mostly even. The other asked what KIND of prizes are best. Letters/Monthly Items came in first, with Evolving Items and Gold tied in second. So I'll see about that. The prizes are indefinite as I'm continually trading them up. So if they change, it's only for the best. If I don't receive any entries for a sector, then I'll mix the prizes for that category into another section. Everything listed WILL be sent out.

-Art entered into this contest belongs to me. I can use it whenever/however I want. (However, for anything uniquely yours entered into it via creativity, I will acknowledge it. I will NEVER EVER EVER steal art. It is your creation; I've purchased it, as I could from an art show. (Except with Gaia things, not real things.) So yeah.

-All art must be your own creation. I say this to ensure that I've covered every base.

-I'll host your entries on my Photobucket after I get them, so that they don't play havoc with your bandwidth.

-Obey the T.O.S.

-Obey ME. (Srsly)

-Keep all entries PG-13? I personally have no problem with art that features nudity--I think it's very beautiful. (Tons of sex I'm not really fond of, but sexuality and nudity I enjoy.) If you want to create an entry that features nudity, please PM it to me. It would still be eligible to win.

-DO NOT BEG IN HERE.

-You can enter as many times as you like (but you'll only win once).

-Judging will be done by me, and possibly NiBu (NiAlBu and LiBu).

-Art will be judged on closeness to the character, as well as how much I enjoy it.

-If you don't win, DON'T b***h AT ME. I may give out consolation prizes to everyone; it depends on how much gold I have available and how many entries there are.

-I may give out tiny prizes to those who had art I liked, but didn't win.

-I do NOT want to see avi edits, Tekteks similar to the avis, or edited photos. Although I will acknowledge that some creativity goes into these (some instances more than others), I am looking for pure creation, here.

-Deadline is: December 31, 2008. It WILL NOT BE EXTENDED AGAIN. To be specific, it's 11:59 p.m. EST on December 31st. And I'm not going to be a hardcore b***h about that. If you get it in at midnight, or a few hours later or something, yeah. That counts. Internet connections get shot down, scanners go crazy--life happens. I get that. If you've got a major problem, PM me.

-I am, however, sympathetic to those who procrastinate, or those who simply stumble across this on December 30th, haven't seen it before for whatever reason, and think, "I wish I had enough time to enter! gonk " FEAR NOT! Post a WIP by the deadline; I'm likely to be understanding. But you'll only have a week after that to finish it. -nodnod-

-I do NOT have a size preference (even desktop size is great! I can use it as wallpaper!), although smaller (sig-size) is better. Judging won't take that into account, though. That's more a personal preference. Wallpaper size, if that's what you like, should be 1680 x 1017. Plox and thankies!

And those that are our "picks" are basically the ones that we like the most; even if they aren't necessarily the best-drawn or rendered.

You won't win more than one prize per entry, but you can enter more than once--and thus win a prize for each entry, if your art is that spectacular.

For the "most entries" prize, you actually have to put some effort into it I WILL NOT ACCEPT ten pictures done in paint that looks like you took about a second on them. They all have to be quality pieces. So that is a little judgemental.

Seriously. I like sprites, anime-style, realism, chibis.... ANYTHING. Try me. CG versus traditional media? DON'T CARE. Just know that I expect effort. Pick from the avis below.... Or my current avi... Fun, fun. DO note that my avatar IS always wearing the dark halo, ballerinas circlet, and forehead jewel. If she isn't.... She should be. And always has light violet hair. Also... I would like for my Kaya to be more realistic than Gaia makes her out to be. *winces* She's got such a flat face. If your style's chibi, then she'd obviously still be rather chibi--but yeah. If not, then PLEASE make her more realistic. Same thing goes for CoCos/KiKi. If you find the avatars too cluttered--feel free to leave something off! Feel free to make the items more elaborate! Him/her (the different avis pictured somehow together? NOT ROMANTICALLY!)..... He/she and I... (THAT can be romantic. heart ) I definitely like piccies of the two of us.

Okay. I realize that sounds very ODD to say the least. XD But. Barbed Wire Panties is one of NiBu's mules and Quartz Ocelot is one of my own. They have... Interesting histories and have wound up together. (THEY ARE BOTH FEMALE, AND IN A ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP. IF THIS BOTHERS YOU, I ADVISE AVOIDING THEM.) [/capslock] Anyway. Romance is not required.
