Not really pathetic, just that the people that may want art dont have the money to bid... thats why Im doing a contest XD I have the items but no gold... and Im too lazy to sell them to get the gold.

Have you tried doing a shop rather than an auction?

I tend to just do my drawings for free or for contests so I don't deal with shops or auctions.

I wanted to see if people would be interested in buying it.... before I tried opening a shop.... That was the whole point. And it turned out to be a total disappointment.

I even advertised in LJ's Gaia community--the big main one--just asking for bumps and over the course of several weeks, you want to know how many people stopped in? Zero. All the bids on my auction and bumps were pre-existing friends. It was depressing and demoralizing. talk2hand

I had equally bad luck with a shop, even though I was under-priced.

I'm thinking of doing an art auction for my birthday to get some items I really want without liquidating out my Minis quest funds, but I'm not sure if I even want to try again.

So you totally have my sympathies. ;o;

I never have a problem with people wanting me to draw them.... but then again I never asked for money in return... only tips if they wanted to give me tips (i made a couple thousand in tips alone yesterday on my 15 minute nubbychibis)

Thank you Pirate, and thank you for stopping by... It seems I was getting a little worked up just a tad too early though.

I have tried an auction before, but it was on another account, when I had joined years ago, and trust me... I'm not surprised that I didn't get anywhere with it then. I look back on that one and thing: "I wouldn't by it myself, I can't believe I was trying to sell that."
