Welcome to our JAVA art contest! Don't know what JAVA is? It's our Joint Art Value Appraisal, where our many volunteers price other peoples' artwork and offer critique for free! Over a period of months we have gathered tips from some happy customers and some very generous donations, and we decided to start an art contest! We encourage everybody who is not a volunteer to participate no matter what your experience in JAVA or art, and we'll keep this thread running until we get 50 entries.

● Follow the Terms of Service
● No stealing any art in any way, shape or form! That includes use of other peoples' images without their permission to create or forge artwork submitted to this contest.
● Do not be rude to anyone in this thread.
● Do not beg for art or harass any of our volunteers.
● Anybody except JAVA volunteers may enter.
● JAVA reserved the right to use any art made for this contest for personal and public use, including use in banners, graphics and public display; however, we will always give credit to the original artist.
● We reserve the right to reject any potential entries for reasons of disrespect, mature content, failure to adhere to rules and guidelines, and any other reason we as a group see fit.
● Entry spots will not be reserved until the art is finished and submitted, and until then you will not receive any gold.
● No art above PG13 will be accepted, and PG is preferable. That means no nudity, excessive violence or excessive swearing and innuendo. If you have a question about limitations in this area, post it in the thread.
● Joint efforts (two or more people working together to create art) is acceptable.
● You may submit up to two separate entries, but you will not get a second compensation of 500g. Multiple entries do not necessarily improve your odds of winning.

Guidelines and Limitations

● You are drawing the JAVA mule! =D We created her with the thread to be our happy little mascot. She has no official name, but in barefoot friar's interpretation the mule was given the title "Ms. Assist."
● You can have much artistic freedom, but the image must have: curly short red hair, green eyes, and be wearing something green and something white. Other than that, we encourage diversity.
● The image must be PG13 or below. No mature content will be tolerated.
● Size and quality are up to you, but a full body will have a much better chance of winning than a headshot.
● No entry spots will be reserved until the final image is sent to us, and until then you will receive no gold.
● If you have any questions/concerns please post in the thread!

Format

1. You read the rules and guidelines thoroughly and ask any questions you may have in the thread.
2. You submit to us either in the thread or by PMing the mule, one image for entry. You can enter up to twice but you will not receive a second compensation of 500g.
3. We will let you know if there are any issues, and if all goes well we put your name and a link to your image in an entry slot, then send you a compensation of 500gold for your time.
4. When all 50 slots are full and we have decided on the winners, we will send a PM and a trade to the three winners. If you do not place we will not PM you.

JAVA is a volunteer organization, so the funds we raise come from optional tip money given by happy customers and from personal donations. We'd like to give a shout out to
S p i f f e h CupcaKe for donating 200k toward our contest, and sayou-chan for donating another 200k! ^_^ Without them we would have had to cut it down to one or two prizes. D: The prizes listed below are the current amounts, but since this is a volunteer oriented thread, any donations after this thread opens will be added to the prizes! Yes, that means prizes may increase over the duration of this thread! How cool!

1st place will receive 550,000 gold!
2nd place will receive 350,000 gold!
3rd place will receive 170,000 gold!


** Every person who enters will receive 500 gold as compensation!
