I <3 my Oma.
One of my aunts still lives over there. She's an artist.

I don't really know many people who also have family over there, personally, but I've noticed that if nothing else, a lot of Americans have German ancestry. I plan on studying German at some point in college.

And when I was in Virginia and we visited the grandaunt of the family they showed my german letters and wanted me to try to translate (but I couldn't read the letter ;o; cause the writing was real oldfashioned XD)
