My Mom was staying with her at the hospital for a week straight, but had to come home. So I stayed with her for a day. I'm back now, and Mom is with Grandma again. She's getting released tomorrow, and coming home with us (maybe). Her husband has no idea she's coming here, and he most likely will pitch a fit tomorrow. Jooooy sweatdrop but this is the best place to recover. No screaming kids, no over-bearing husband, fresh air, someone to be with her 24/7... this is the best choice 3nodding Grandma and her husband may break up for awhile over this >.<;

That's so stupid... If he was really that supportive of a husband, he would want what's best for her, and thats to be with people who care about her, and can care for her adequately. I'm sorry that you're both so exhausted over the situation... That's got to be troublesome...

But I hope that you help her get well on the road to recovery.

but I'm glad that your grandmother is well enough to be released.
I agree with Bliss, if he can't understand what's best for her,
then he isn't being a supportive husband.

You don't need to tell me... we've known he's a terrible husband for 25+ years. He mentally abuses her, makes her clean and cook for him even though she'd just had surgery, steals her meds, and makes her stay away from her family (he's also racist, and a total bigot). She actually missed many of my birthday's because he wouldn't let her come see me. But they LOVE eachother rolleyes she's left him before, and gone back to him many times. I don't think they'll ever split. Grandma has her own issues, too.

Yikes.... Maybe it's for the better, then.... That they do split for awhile. I'm sorry that he's such an A** . That's really awful of him to treat her like that, and for him to cause so much trouble for your family. I'm sorry you're going through that... That's really cruel of him.

At least she had you and your mom, there to support her for now.
