Welcome friends and guests. This is Dirty Steel, an OC art contest with over 2 million in prizes and gold. Come inside, chat, RP a little if you want to get to know the charactors better, everyone is welcome.

Here you will meet Scout and Alexis, two brothers who share very little in common other then a love of fighting, (and occasionally each other).


Well, the contest is over, but we are still chatting it up from time to time. Feel free to join us! Who knows, I might be feeling generous and give out something for free, or I may just tip people who draw for us anyways!

Due to too few entries this contest will be extended (again T^T ) for another week! The end date will now be on the 7th of July at 11 pm EST. (as seen on the East coast of the USA)

If the contest STILL doesn't have enough entries after this time, I will keep the prizes for the slots that have no entry and hold another smaller different contest later on. (for anyone who would still like to enter). I have kept my finished artists waiting too long however, so I will be awarding prizes for what I have.

Our Prizes equal over 2 million gold in total, most of which is in items, some of which is in pure Gaia gold. You can win these prizes by winning in the different categories of the art contest, or by participating in the thread games.

Grand Prizes for the art are 2 full 08 letter sets, one to be awarded for each best charactor.

A few Hints:

- Character Accuracy will be about 65% of the judging, so please pay close attention to the descriptions below. There is even a prize for this one!
- I really love backgrounds, but they shouldn't overpower the character. Detail is loved.
- I am willing to answer any and all questions about this contest, the art I'm looking for, backgrounds, clothing, hair, piercings, or anything in general, please feel free to PM me or ask in thread. ^^
- I am willing to do RPs for the artists who really want to get to know them, please PM the character and ask for an RP. I do prefer semi-lit to advanced lit when RPing, Really just anything comprehensible. No Leet or chatspeak for RPs.
- PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO CHARACTER AGE
- Please pay close attention to Scout's horns, they should appear like Alruna's. Smooth and swept forward like a bull's. (If you cannot draw These horns, please leave them off)

Hello There, I'm Scout Sakaro. You'll be getting to know me better as time goes on if you stay and chat. I'm old enough to know better, but still enjoy myself quite a bit. I rather like to do many things and more often then not I am found working in my forge, or roaming the city. I'm not as uptight as Alexis is, so I think we could have a bit of fun. Don't worry, I won't bite...much. So please, come take a seat here beside me, where it's warm.








Age:

Appears to be in his mid to late 20's.

Hair:

Red as freshly spilled blood. Comes down to his lower back, and the ends are somewhat ragged.

Eyes:

Silver blue, they can be more metallic when they reflect light, such as when he is looking into flames. More often then not they appear to be a light blue.

Skin :

Lightly tanned as though he spends alot of time around fire or in the sun.

Build:

muscular. Natural muscle built from his jobs. Not veiny

Horns: (optional)

curved a bit like a bull and are an ebony black or deep red. The horns from Alruna's rose are a great example.

bladed on only one side, such as the tail from the dark halo.

Wings: (optional)

Large, soft, and black. Feathered. Can have a slight reddish sheen.

Distinguishing marks:

Scar on his bottom lip, just to the left of his nose, does not reach further then the edge of his lip. There is a much larger scar on his left bicep, where the muscle meets the chest if the arm is relaxed by his side. There are three scars across his back from being whipped, two more from where his wings would emerge. He has had his shoulder blade and the shin bone on the right side of his body replaced there are also scars from those.

You may use any of these, or something similar. Mesh and leather are loved, but he also sometimes just wears a pair of jeans.

Hello there and welcome. I am Alexis ne Rillian, Prince of Xerra. It is a pleasure to meet you and I hope that we may get to know each other better. I grew up in Xerra, an impoverished kingdom in a place you've probably never been. Rose to the heights of our military, and now here I am, come to visit my little brother. Perhaps we could talk over a nice warm beverage...

Age:
Appears to be in his late 20's to early 30's.

Hair:
Silvery White. Comes down to his thighs, usually keeps it braided. Prefers it loose.

Eyes:
Blue as a winter sky. They seem to look into your very soul, often seen as being cold.

Skin:
Very lightly tanned, Caucasian. Makes his lips and other sensitive skinned places seem lightly pink.

Build:
Muscular, but not veiny.

Distinguishing Marks:
Three bands made form obsidian lay on his left bicep. They are a sign of his military rank. There would also be a ring made from a dark green jade on the middle finger of his left hand. Carries a sword with the hilt wrapped in well worn leather. Jeweled pommel of Blue Topaz, the blade almost seems to be made of ice from the purity of the steel.
He has a scar on his right collarbone leading at an angle in towards his chest. Another scar on his right hand going along the back of it, straight across.

My Art of the Week!

This is where I will be posting the art I receive that is not a part of the contest. Remember these are NOT being judged, these are NOT entries. This is just a place for me to show off the fabulous art I have received of my charectors, friends, or my other accounts. I'm also going to include a reason or two why I love each one. This was drawn by my friend PRINC3 Mana of my character Scout. I think she did an amazing job on the colors and it captures a great part of his personality. I especially adore the horns in this piece as they look just like the ones I have on his avatar. Thank you Mana!
