If I remember correctly, the artist of this specific design told me she had prior practice designing tattoos, and how obvious it was when I saw her entry. The style of this piece is one-in-a-million, and while the coloring is incredibly simplistic (and in crayons, it looks like!), I seriously pictured this entry to be inked onto my body.

Despite the not-too-great quality of the scan, it's easy to see how amazing this design in. Very symmetrical, wonderfully detailed, and God, look at those wings and those antlers! I had a hard time deciding between this piece and the first place winner.

This piece was submitted into the contest particularly early. I was shocked to find such great artists creating beautiful designs for me. I was racking my brain for days and days (to all of your guys' annoyance) deciding 3rd place, 2nd place, and obviously 1st place to this contest. When it really came down to it, I stopped concerning myself with people pleasing (as I've done in past contests), and really decided that the entries I gave prizes to were pieces I really would see on my body for the rest of my days. Unfortunately, there were several other entries that I could have seen on myself as well, but these three were on top. Ciache's entry is soft, savory, and delicate, while representing everything I requested and even the parts I had trouble putting into words. I love this style so much, and this entry is one I've had a soft spot for since the get-go.
