Females Name: Cei Ellem  Age: around 700, but looks to be around 26 Height: 5'0" Hair Color: Brown Eye Color: Black Noteworthy Traits: Small mole by the outer corner of her right eye. Description: Originally named Celestine Santelli, Cei is one of the older vampires in the city of Caligo, and as such holds a position on the Council of Elders. Once the daughter of a wealthy Italian merchant, Cei frequently carries herself with a slight air of nobility, although (for her age) she's remarkably in tune with human emotions. She fled from the vampire who created her, Crudelis, and changed her name in hopes that he would not find her. She desperately fears the day when he returns. Cei has a tendency to come off as a little eccentric, and absolutely obsessive with her scientific work. She's been known to go from perky and cheerful to "you'd-better-start-running" angry at the drop of a hat, though she is generally a very sweet person. She longs to one day create a cure for vampirism. Ironically, Cei is dating one of two renowned vampire hunters, Jonathan Keatting, who doesn't realize what she is. After she meets Brendan (who also holds affection for her), she finds herself in the precarious position of needing to choose between the hunter and the werewolf. Role: Hero Name: Evey C. Grant  Age: 26 Height: 5'4" Hair Color: Black Eye Color: Brown Noteworthy Traits: Three piercings in each ear; a tribal tattoo on the small of her back that curls around her hips a little Description: Evey has been a private investigator for a few years. Her mother disappeared when she was a child and her father died recently, spurring her move back to Caligo. She works well with Det. Brendan Graham of the Caligo PD, and considers him her partner in many ways. Since she was a child she had an ability to use telekinesis and to shield her mind. Over the years, she has honed the skills making her very adept and the more she learns, the more she finds she can do other things as well. Evey has a knack for solving puzzles, is very observant and determined and has a strong sense of self and a strong will. She has a tendency to attract vampires and finds her cases usually dealing with them, as well as other supernatural beings and situations, on a fairly regular basis though she doesn't outwardly go looking for that kind of thing. She knows a great deal about the occult and about the ways of vampires having been exposed to them because of her abilities since she was young. She speaks Spanish, Italian, French and Latin. She has been on her own for a long time, which has created an independent and stubborn streak that is reflected in the strength of her will. She works for Davidson Private Investigations as the main PI. Role: Hero Name: Jezz MacAllister  Age: 22 Height: 5'2" Hair Color: Red Eye Color: Blue Noteworthy Traits: Small blue star tattoo on left shoulder; freckles Description: A bubbly, OCD young woman who was hired by Davidson PI to organize the mess of files they had and to be the secretary while she is finishing her degree in History. She is very diligent about her work and very friendly. She's very gentle and has an innate tenderness that is very visible. Jezz has a big heart and a wide smile, but can be very nervous at times. However, she tends to take unusual and strange things in stride, while she gets nervous at more commonplace situations. She has been considering becoming a detective herself, and watches Evey trying to learn from her. She is very observant, if naive. Role: Hero Support Name: Sarah  Age: unknown, apparently 7 or 8 Height: 4' 6" Hair Color: Blonde Eye Color: Light Brown/Hazel Noteworthy Traits: Almost always happy. Description: Sarah is the human disguise of the angel Sartorca. Sweet and deceptively naive, she is far more intelligent than she lets on, primarily because of her true nature. After her first appearance, she becomes very attached to Evey, calling her "Sis" and saying that she "kinda smells like an angel." She's also quite close with Dr. Amelie Zonta, who is her mentor in her true form. Role: Hero Support Name: Dr. Amelie Zonta  Age: looks like late twenties Height: 5'10" Hair Color: Black Eye Color: Golden brown Noteworthy Traits: Hair goes all the way down to her waist. Description: A gorgeous black woman that one would consider to be a model, not a doctor. Amelie is a pediatrician with a background in psychology. She is honest, at times painfully so, and believes completely in the value of truth. She worked at Sacred Heart Hospital for many years, left for a time to do medicine in Jamaica--her home country (though her mother is originally Ethiopian)--before returning recently to Sacred Heart. Children tend to call her Dr. Mama because of her motherly personality. Considering her years as a doctor, it is assumed she is older than she looks, but her lively and generous personality make her seem youthful. She has been in love for many years, with an old friend, classmate, and fellow doctor named Jared Setheh. In actuality, Amelie is the angel Arishtat--the Angel of Truth. Role: Hero Support Name: Carmilla  Age: Ancient Height: 5'4" Hair Color: Black Eye Color: Blue Description: Formerly an Egyptian queen, Carmilla has been on a life long quest to acquire the tool to control death: the Scythe of Azrael. Malevolent and selfish, her only concern is in accomplishing her goal. Any alliances she makes, including her current one with Crudelis and his "son" Ashton, are temporary at best, at least until something better comes along. As a vampire, Carmilla has crossed the threshold of normal vampirism and gained the ability to bare children again. Since then, she has had two, and surprisingly, the angel Sartorca is one of them. Males Name: William Keatting  Age: 27 Height: 5'10" Hair Color: Blonde Eye Color: Blue Noteworthy Traits: Eyes glow with a pale white light when angry or in need of blood. Description: Will, oddly enough, is the more serious of the two Keatting brothers, but he has a good sense of humor. He is also more open-minded about vampires, and doesn't think that they're all evil (unlike his brother). His parents were both turned into the blood bound slaves of a powerful (if not evil) vampire known only as Madison. Consequently, William was born with vampiric blood in his system, which unfortunately also carries along an addiction to the blood of vampires. If he doesn't regularly "feed", he becomes ill; on the plus side, ingesting the blood gives him a physical boost not unlike the powers of full-blown vampires. Rather than lament over his condition, the hunter has used it to improve his fighting abilities. He has been long friends with Cei, and greatly appreciates the blood she gives him. He doesn't tell Jonathan the truth about their condition (or the condition of his girlfriend) for fear that he won't handle the news very well. Role: Hero Name: Jonathan Keatting  Age: 31 Height: 6'0" Hair Color: Brown Eye Color: Blue Noteworthy Traits: Eyes glow with a pale white light when angry. Description: Laid-back and cheerful, Jon has a very optimistic outlook on life, except for where vampires are concerned. He's an incredibly zealous hunter, if not a little naive. He and his brother come from a long line of vampire hunters (in fact, his mother's maiden name was Van Helsing). When his parents were murdered by a vampire who had taken them as his slaves, it made him all the more eager to carry on the family business. His hunting abilities are surpassed only by his younger brother, Will. Also different from his brother, the vampiric blood in his system is not as potent, as only his mother was blood bound when he was conceived. Despite all this, he still seems oblivious to the fact that not only is his girlfriend a vampire, but she's been slipping him her blood so that he won't become ill. Role: Hero Name: Det. Brendan Graham  Age: 35 Height: 6'3" Hair Color: Black Eye Color: Gray Noteworthy Traits: "Wolfish" grin. Description: Born a werewolf in a small town to the north of Caligo (that is mostly populated by werewolves), Brendan is one of five children. He has Irish and Native American werewolf in his background. He was in the military for several years, and eventually joined the Caligo Police Department. He moonlights as a vampire hunter to a degree. Well aware of vampires, when he comes across one in investigations and crimes he tends to "relocate" them if they aren't reasonable. For the last couple of years he has been working closely with a PI who has a knack for digging up information in relation to vampires and other aspects of the supernatural. He considers this private detective, Evey Grant, as his partner. Brendan is stubborn, viciously determined and very protective. He takes his calling as a police officer and detective very seriously. He can be relaxed and carefree, especially around those he cares about, but he has a loud temper. Brendan has a big heart, but isn't afraid to get angry, get physical or make his point known. He also has a tendency to be sarcastic. He owns a large black cat named Reggie and is unaware of Reggie's gender. Role: Hero Name: Dr. Jared Setheh  Age: 42 Height: 6'0" Hair Color: Blonde Eye Color: none, he has no eyes Noteworthy Traits: No eyes. Description: Jared is a quiet, polite man who keeps to himself most of the time, but is quick to smile. His level-headed manner allows him to judge things logically without malice. He has a soft side for humanity, and seldom loses his temper. Also, despite his visual blindness, Jared's senses are heightened to the point where he is perfectly capable of functioning without the usual aids for the blind (he doesn't need a cane or seeing-eye dog, nor does need brail to read). Far from normal blindness, he has no eyes; instead of eyes or even empty sockets, there is simply skin, as if eyes were never meant to be there. This is because he is really the Demon of Death, Zuriel. In his human guise, however, Dr. Setheh works as a professional psychiatrist, specializing in "unique" case, namely ones involving vampires or other supernatural beings. Role: Hero Support Name: Julian Kent  Age: 300, but appears to be in his early twenties Height: 5'7" Hair Color: Brown Eye Color: Violet Noteworthy Traits: Rarely (if ever) smiles. Description: Ju (as most people call him) is a very quiet, very serious vampire who seldom smiles. During his mortal life, he was catatonic, completely incapable of functioning because of a unique psychic gift: he could see everything that was happening to everyone at every minute of the day; an overwhelming amount of information no mere mortal could handle. After his change, however, Ju was better able to control his clairvoyance, learning how to focus on specific things he wanted to see. Because of this, it is nearly impossible to surprise him, and he has become the Council of Elders main source of information. He is extremely OCD, needing some way to control his environment (at least) since he can’t fully control his psychic sight, and also agoraphobic. He is close friends with Cei, who seems very overprotective of him. Eventually, he and Jezz are forced to live together, and though initially wary of her presence in his home, he slowly warms up to her. Role: Hero Support Name: Lios Druclerd / Lord Crudelis  Age: freaking old, but appears to be in his early 30s Height: 5'8" Hair Color: Black Eye Color: Light brown Noteworthy Traits: Covers most of his face with his hair. Click here for reference with his hair pulled away. Description: Formerly a wealthy aristocrat, the self-named Lord Crudelis revels in the power vampirism gives him. Cei's creator (and husband), he has hunted her down ever since she ran away from him, furious that his most prized possession left him. Crudelis joined Carmilla in order to help fund his scientific experiments into increasing the potency of his own blood, eventually developing a serum that, when ingested with vampiric blood, creates instantly loyal mortal slaves. Aside from Cei, he has one other "child", Ashton. Role: Villain Name: Ashton Rutilare  Age: around 500, but appears to be in his late teens Height: 5'7" Hair Color: Red Eye Color: Light Green Noteworthy Traits: Devious smirk. Ear cuff on left ear. Click her for earring reference. Description: Taking on all the worst traits of his "father", Ashton wants nothing more to have a good time and cause as much chaos as possible. Incredibly jealous of the attention Crudelis gives to Cei, the younger vampire is determined to find her and kill her so that he can have their "father" all to himself. No crime is too low for him, and he has a wicked fascination with fire and explosives. Right now, his favorite "toy" is the Angel of Death, Charon, but he's always looking for someone new to try... Role: Villain Name: Officer Lemuel Malone  Age: 23 Height: 5'11" Hair Color: Black Eye Color: Hazel Noteworthy Traits: Prefers casual clothing to formal. Description: A New Zealand native who spent most of his life living off the shores of Hawaii, Officer Malone is one of the most law-abiding, justice-oriented, zealous officers on the CPD... except for the fact that he's under the control of three of the most evil vampires in the city: Carmilla, Crudelis, and Ashton. In truth, he is really Charon, an Angel of Death, and has become caught up in a divine contract with them because of his poor judgment. It isn't the first time his short temper has gotten him into trouble. Role: Villain Support |

Description: Zuriel was formally an angel of Death until it took pity on a human it was supposed to kill and helped him multiple times to avoid his fate. Since its demotion, the demon has been almost fanatically trying to redeem itself by finding persons who are supposed to die and doing its job properly. Unfortunately, its gentle nature inevitably gets in the way. Owner of the Scythe of Azrael, Zuriel is constantly accosted by other Death angels seeking to posses the powerful weapon, especially Charon. It has a long term friendship with Arishtat, an angel of Truth, although it seems hesitant to share its feelings with the other divine being. In its mortal guise, Zuriel appears as Dr. Jared Setheh, a psychiatrist. Role: Hero Support Name: Arishtat  Age: Ancient Height: 6'0" Hair Color: Black with bright blue and green beads Eye Color: Golden brown Noteworthy Traits: Wings. Click here for wing reference. Description: The Angel of Truth, Arishtat tends to appear more feminine despite its androgynous form. The angel has been a close personal friend of Zuriel an angel of death for many years, since before its fall into demonhood. Even after Zuriel became a demon, Arishtat is still in love with Zuriel. Arishtat came to Caligo for many reasons (Zuriel being one of them), but has several missions to accomplish. One of them is searching for the murderer of Azrael, the original angel of Death -- Keket. Other reasons for its arrival still remain a mystery. It has taken on the form of the doctor, Amelie Zonta, in order to accomplish its missions. Description: As energetic an enthusiastic as its mortal guise, Sartorca is a newborn angel of Rebirth whose job it is to make sure souls are reborn (simple enough). Still young, it does not completely understand the ways of the world and seems wholly unfamiliar with the concept of evil. Even stranger, its mother is none other than Carmilla. Role: Hero Support Name: Charon  Age: Ancient Height: 6'2" Hair Color: Black Eye Color: Hazel Noteworthy Traits: Symbols around eyes. Long hair. Wings. Click here for wing and hair reference. Description: One of the many angels of Death, Charon is incredibly conceited and revels in fulfilling its duties properly. Set to inherit the Scythe of Azrael when Zuriel retired, it was furious when the other angel fell (and thereby no longer eligible for retirement until redeemed). Intent upon claiming the Scythe, it made the mistake of signing a divine contract with Carmilla for her aid. Now, it must do whatever it is ordered to do. Role: Villain Support BONUS CHARACTER! (May not be drawn alone) Name: Reggie Age: Mature Height: Cat-sized Hair Color: Black Eye Color: Gold Description: Dubbed "the panther" by Will, Brendan's large cat Reggie is just one big bundle of love. Cei adores it, and it loves the attention. On the other hand, Lemuel is downright terrified of the furry little beast, claiming his fear has something to do with a bad experience with an angel named Bastet... Role: Cat |

As long as the character is still noticeably the character, I don't see why not. I guess it would depend on what sort of changes you were thinking of. Obviously, changing the clothes is perfectly acceptable, but if you change something drastic like hair or skin color, that could be a problem. What was it you had in mind? |

In a short while I will be putting up links of my own rendition of the characters--not all of them (because I haven't drawn them all yet), but I will be putting up my own drawings of them as well so people can use those as a reference as well. Basically, they will look the same as Que's CG images, just in 2D. heart
