cara; what do you think of the tier idea?
so there's the grand prize, probably dtail/sash/ascarf (1st, 2nd, 3rd) but i don't want to scare away artists who dont think they'll stand a chance, so i thought i'd add a second tier of grand prizes -- horns+500k/glaurels+500k/apendant+500k and artists get to choose to enter for tier 1 or 2.

But most of the category prizes will be for both.

And lots of smaller stuff in the 100k-1mil range.

As for the time.. I think it should be like your last big contest, unlocking the prices as the entries increment. That way if you get a LOT, it could last about 2 months.. but if not, you'll have a lot of time to get as many as you can. I think maybe 2-3 months would do.

I don't know how many pieces to set the limit at though. I don't want to set it ridiculously high, but at the same time, I am awarding a lot of stuff. *_*;;

Yeah. D: Well.. the tier prices.. you could start with just one per category. Then let's say you get 20 entries, add the second one, 50 and you add the third one. I don't know. I never had an art comp before. OTL;; I'LL RESEARCH FOR YOU THOUGH.

But I wouldn't know where to put the cut off. I find that if i say "at 20 entries, the sash unlocks" then people just draw 20 stick figures. or if I say I need 20 artists, then they hop on mules or tell friends who can't really draw to draw. >_<;
