What you need to do is add one shade lighter and one shade darker to your pallet. Using only two colors makes it seem very flat.

A good rule of thumb is to have at the very least four colors for everything.

Skin has highlights as well. Just not as drastic as the shine you added to the hair.

As for the ear...most usely start from the top of the ear to the base of the nose....as a general rule of thumb size wise. C:

Oh I see! I usually use three tones for skin and I`ve never really done darker skin shading before so I didnt know if using blue (like I use with pale skin) Would make it look weird or unrealistic. SO with this one I used dark brown and alittle bit of a red but yeah it DEFINATLY turned out flat >.<
I`ll definatly start addiing more tone to my pallete then!

Oh no! Your nose is fine. I'm talking about size of the ear. If you want a proportionate way to draw ears that's how you do it. The size of the ear is the length from the top of the eye to the very bottom of the nose you've drawn, roughly. It's just a good way to know if they're too small or big. C:

It varies slightly from case to case but even your ears are like that if you take your fingers and place them on the high point of the cartilage and the bottom point of the lobe... Then slide across your face to your eyes and nose.

I learned it a few years ago and it amazed me XD

the arm in the back looks a little wonky, the lines are too angular.

Glad I could help. It's small trucks like that that make drawing much less stressful. 3nodding
