Mermaid Oekaki

Just wanted to share my oekaki picture ^^ I usually just only end up using airbrush or water color and only one layer.. Trying to expand myself;p BTW this is my first post for showing my own art ^^(i posted on the line art jam with stuff I colored by other people)... uh she has no nipples because I was making it so I could post it without making it 'adult' cause no one looks when it is 'adult' no matter how tasteful the nudity.. Oh and this was just done with a mouse too poor for wacom tablet;p btw2 coma is my oekaki name ^^ So if you see that signature it's me^^

Heh, you seem to have a mis-informed opinion, lol. You get tons of people looking when you post that it's adult content, but generally you get an over-abundance of idiots posting as well.

But it's a gorgeous picture.. and the lack of nipples is kinda disturbing. Maybe go back and make a second version? lol.

Well the okeki that I am at, people tend not to look pretty much at all if it is 'adult' crying . Only a few people who knew me well would look. Otherwise no one would check it out. I was so sad because I had a cute angel one there too and she was topless. To me it was just a summer day, with an angel sitting there. I did a cover up version in illustrator, because someone said they could make it a poster in their class, if I covered her up a bit. I made a compromise;p
Uh can you post that kind of picture here (with nipples) or would they ban me for pornography or something? I'll have to read the rules post again. I don't remember.. Thanks for taking a look ^^ hehe

Well I guess nudity is not for everyone.. and I think a lot of people might be in environments where they can't view it ( like the office ). Thanks for the advice I'll post my angel picture in the forum too^^ here I go!

Her hair is gorgeous but her skin looks rather mottled and a little unfinished.
Also if you are concerned about nudity you could always give her the old seashell bra or extend her scales up her sides, over her breasts up to her neck and emphasize her gills.

I like this a lot. The entire picture has a lovely soft flow to it, which makes the eyes stand out so much more in sharp contrast. It's a really nice effect. Sorry for making a short post - I've nothing more to say ^^;.

I am also still getting a feeling for skin. I do better with the full figure because that is what I am most used to seeing and being comfortable. But I like to do a slim or softly rounded figure too, so gotta practice practice practice. As for seashell bra.. I really didn't want to do that because it was done so much(not that mermaids aren't done so much) and also I just don't 'feel' the sea shell bra.. I think mermaids might be naked ;p Oh well. I really really thank you for such an honest appraisal of my work ^^ keep up the creative critism, it really helps improvement in future pieces ^^ thanks!!!
