So, I finally sat down yesterday and tried to figure out a way to color pictures by doing a self portrait study thing. And I might have found something that could work....clearly i need to tweak quite a few things, like the hair and eyes. I would love to hear from you all to see what I can do to fix this.

it might be nice to play about with some more painterly effects?

I like where you've started playing the harsh edges of the shadows against the soft ones eg the cast shadow of the glasses against her cheeks. Just keep practicing and pushing through! : )

The lips need something. I'm not sure.. (sorry I'm not better at this) maybe some faint lines where the bottom lip is scrunched up so it doesn't look like just a tiny lip ???:oops:

Thanks for the advice. I do agree that the lips are off. I will see what I can do with adding more detail.
