i can't draw girls XP help?

just like the title says. i use to be somewhat good at them, and suck at drawing guys. after i met someone and saw her drawings of bishous, i started drawing my own to try and get as a good as she was. after i started drawings bishous i got hooked, and stopped drawings chicks... i think that was a bad thing to do... now i haven't drawn chicks for a few years, and when i try they look like dudes...

i'd scan more recent things, but i have no scanner. the pic i'm about to post is from 2002... then there will be a chibi of her under that.

oh, jeez, these are horrible... i even tried coloring the bottom one, but i'm no good with coloring... i'll stick to shading sweatdrop

but anyway... i'm just looking for some pointers on how to draw girls better... sorry if that first one isn't a good example, but it's the only picture of a girl that i have... and the chibi is just there for the hell of it.

Female anime characters tend to have shorter faces than the males and the eyelashes are usually seperated. Also, the neck on the top pic looks a little thick. Otherwise, they're really good still. b^-^

Some more serious girls look somewhat like guys. Some just have that facial structure that's more masclilen then femime.

Someone has suggested BakaNeko... DON'T USE IT! Your skills are better than the person who made Bakaneko, and the tutorials aren't that good either, but that's besides the point. ^-^;

If you want to make the girls look more, well, "girly," then you might want to try making the eyes a bit bigger. I also tend to use spiky hair for only guys, not girls... but that's just me. sweatdrop But if you don't like the shojo-ish style (with the big eyes and such), don't use it.

yeah... i'm not really into the whole shoujo style thing, with the big eyes and all.

the link for bakaneko wasn't wroking, but i went into the other link and didn't like it much... it looked too... american... =_=;

So basically I gave in and just became a boys love artist. XD No need for girls there.

haha, yeah. most of my stories are all guy casts, at all guys schools. and if it's in an au, there's at least one girl... that's flat chested because she hates being a girl so she bandages her boobs down XP
