Very cool Hyato. And I tried doing my avatar, the eyes were good originally but my pen was pretty bad so I messed up tracing them over. I also realize I need color and the right shoulder is off.

thats pretty good for someone who's just starting. i was sooo much worse~~~ TTxTT i don't know if this will help or not, but try to look at yourself in the mirror for an idea of proportions, it should be of some help. and when you look for guide books on drawing, flip through them a bit in the store to make sure you're not buying crap. it happened to me a few times. carry around a sketch book with you and practice every chance you get. hope this helps heart

Yes, I bought a sketch book now. A little one with good size sheets. I find that doing wireframes seriously helps me do proportions, and poses. I draw the stick first, then normally circles and shapes over it, then slowly erase it bit by bit so I can still see the frame lightly and draw over. blaugh
