and I remember raising my prices to 250g and thinking it was scandalous.

hey, back in the days, 15k for a fullbody colored by melz
was like scandalous! But then Ramy arrived and started the artist revolution xd he/she was one of the first to raise the bar for price and defend our work as being worth more then pixels, some others followed and maybe someone had started it before ramy, but I remember her prices being something like 20k for a headshot, which was really high when you thought you could get a amazing fullbody for that price...then of course, ramy was discovered as an art fraud who just traced other people's work.... but that's okay, she still brought some nice things to gaia back in the days where the auction forum didn't even exist yet xd

well, reference always helps at making nifty stuff, it's only normal to end up with a nicer product when you have some whee

I remember trying so hard to befriend the old elitist group of artists. But it didn't work out. haha.
And then like most of the legendary gaia artists quit. Like Eccoxile, or Nyome.
I don't know if you knew Baron or Sievkatronshia, but I looved their style. But I don't see them on really anymore.

true true~~ i usually use references on everything i draw but i guess without any pictures to help me, my knoweldge in animal anatomy isn't as strong as my human.
