Among the rejects are artists such as Manet and Whistler.
But wait! There is hope. Napoleon III has decreed that the rejected artists will be able to display their works in an extra exhibition, separate from the Salon.

In this "exhibition of rejects", you find yourself in a gallery filled with artists displaying their new, different, and excellent impressionistic artwork.

This is a joint auction of more alternative art.

rules

-be excellent to eachother

-no retracting bids

-value items at lowest tektek

-don't bid a ton of crap items (ie flowers, bugs, starter sets)

-no critiquing of art unless it is asked for

-don't bid snipe! it's really annoying and unfair to other bidders
(bid sniping is when you bid in the last minute or so of the
auction, that way you win the auction without having to pay
much higher than the previous hber)

-don't bid if you plan on leaving gaia (i've had this happen)

-allow the artists time to finish their pieces. it's really irritating
to artists when people push them to do art quickly. Things also
get a little hairy when there are multiple artists involved because
some artists are slower while some are quicker. You should allow
about 2 months for everyone to finish, because we do have real
life obligations that take priority over gaia.

small note: we're not anti-anime, we're just going with a more
alternative theme, no disrespect to anime styles C:

Likes: real life characters, caricatures, cool lighting,
good references, weird skin tones, anything I don't dislike.

Dislikes: mechas, some anthros, most masks and some
hats, glasses, clutter, anything against ToS.

HB: half-body with a simple to moderate background
AB: full-body with a complex background.

I'll try to do anything, but basically the more
likely your character's apperance is to happen
in reality, the more likely my my piece for you
will be good. Don't blame me if the piece i do of
your 57 accessory anthro character kind of sucks.
Also, I always start with a reference photo, so
you can supply your own or I'll find one for you.
Either way works.

HB: Realistic watercolor headshot with
color background + spiffy watercolor effects
AB: Realistic watercolor waist-up with
multi-color background + effects
