The way I look at it, most of the guides (at least pick one on the first page of the guides and resources section that still looks like it's been around for a while) are fair within themselves. They might not be exactly price accurate but prices work in comparison to other items. The problem can lie in gold, however, but most people, nowadays, seem to bid primarily in items anyway.
