I'd much rather draw and get art in return than pay for someone's skills.
Because once I get the art I wanna draw anyway, why not make each other happy with artworks than just yourself, you know?

hehehe, yeah it's neat to see some traditional watercolors of hers mixed into all the digital art... though I LOVE painting digitally just because it's so not messy like traditional painting is xD

You have strengths in different spots.
In my opinion, you're better at coloring, and she's better with the overall lineart. xD
Not saying one of you is better overall, your skills are pretty close together, actually, but your strengths differ in certain areas.

We've talked about doing a collab before, but we never have done it. And she is WAAAAY better at sketches and lineart than I am for sure. And she can draw and paint guys, and I have such a hard time with them.

One of the advantages I have had is that my computer is faster, so I could work bigger, and bigger means better details since you can see them better. She had an older computer that was handed down to her from our mom... BUT she just got a much nicer faster computer so she's about to get tons better than I am I know it xD But I don't mind, she's a awesome artist!
