Hehe. *prances about* I write like a romance novelist~ XD *points at text below* What happens when I agree to write fluff with a friend. lol

Quote:
The lofty trills of instruments floated lightly through the air, leaving an almost ethereal feeling amongst the occupants of a spacious ballroom. Tall, glass-paned windows permitted sweet moonlight to enter and grace those who passed by with an unworldly glow. Everything was set for the prince of Philicia and Roshtaria to meet an eligible woman of good breeding. The proud parents of the youth occasionally watched at the banister of the spiral staircase with amusement but refrained from intruding upon their child’s night of utter attention. Any woman who sought so desperately to charm him lingered about him, some shy, others brash.

Various men and women filled various rooms connected to the ballroom through intricately-designed, glass doors. Some rested while others sat with one another and chatted cheerily, eyeing fleeting shades of colour when someone should dance by the doors. Nothing had been spared for the grand event as servants offered the attendees masks of varying design throughout the ballroom, and so both men and women had dressed themselves in their finest to impress one another.

As time went on and candles were lit all about the rooms, the musicians who had been performing grew sweeter as though greeting the night with a tender embrace. Wandering about on the edge, a young woman was dressed in a fine, ivory dress of satin and damask. The gold fringes about the dress accentuated the already present charm and beauty of the girl as she spoke with various attendees, her mask concealing the upper portion of her delicate features save for a pair of refined blue eyes. Pausing at a window, she looked outside, a gloved hand touching the cool glass as though expecting it to fall through and into the cold world beyond.

No idea. XD I guess in a way it's good. In a way... not so good? oO; I used to write more adventurous, especially in RPs but of late I've been closing myself off to RPs and doing one-on-ones with my friend which is always more about the romance than adventuring off. ^^;;

I'd sell my writing skills here if I could, but it's highly doubtable things would work out. lol

XD Well it's scene-setting, I guess. Striking a balance between event and description. A lot of writers on the net tend to over-write their stuff and crowd it with extraneous adjectives, but you seem to be OK XD

Hm... I think people seem to go more for ideas and writing than just writing itself. You do that right?

lol Yeah, it's actually the intro of some fluff I'm doing right now. XD Though, to keep my style consistent like that, I have to write entirely by myself. <3 I really do love writing of all kinds though. Hehe. Well... maybe not blatant "stupid" humor though. I just can't do that. I'm more witty than silly humorous. xp

I know what you mean though. I've seen some writers who use a dictionary or a thesaurus and just cram their works with adjectives.
Me: ... oh noes. D:
But yeah, some use too little and that bugs me too. XD

Ideas and writing? oO I'm not exactly sure by what you mean. lol If they wanted me to write something up for them regarding a situation regarding their characters, I can do that... it's not very hard... XD

Oh... say a b&c shop wants a backstory, and you have to come up with the concept and actual prose smile

Oh... that kind. XD Hm, yeah, I'd really have to like what the B&C are selling to actually do it. lol The problem with that, for me, is that if I don't really like the pet or whatever they're selling, my imagination doesn't really take off easily. sweatdrop

I can definitely write stuff for people... animals I can but it's all a matter of it really appeals to me or not, y'know?

It's like drawing. XD If something doesn't appeal, you don't feel like drawing it as much. lol

Have you ever thought about going into the B&C type of business? XD

Yeah, a bit... I have a backstory and stuff, but I doubt I'll ever get round to more than the concept stage... it takes too much time and school's more important xD

I hear you. XD It is definitely hard to get things going with life rushing right past you as is. =_____=;; Sometimes, we should have a button to pause time... just every so often...

lol Yeah, it'd be pretty convenient for those stressing moments. XD Or just to procrastinate some more... ehehehe. I'm sure many people would use it for that purpose.
