Welcome to Gaia! ::

mium

      Hahaha, definitely not with the course I'm taking, of course.
      I'd be so happy if I could even step a foot into Square Enix's office. ; u;

      Yup. And when anything goes glitchy, it's usually the programmers. 8D
      CSS codes is fine to me, but I really wonder how people deal with javascript and html. D;
      It's like a totally different language entirely and for them to read it, it's like me trying to read Latin. ; u ;

Etzlenos Belliveau
But hey, they need business people, too. So who knows xD

Heeh, yes. It is xD
I'm bad with anything... I mean I manage to look at other people's code and do something with it. But I can't write anything on my own D: Can't really read java/javascript as well, tho... HTML is so-so.
i'm 2 mill sure... 1.4 to be exact >.>

Hahaha, the staff in Square Enix are like..forever there.
I keep seeing familiar names everytime the credits roll. xD;

Ahh, I learned stuff from w3schools and from a friend that took her time to teach me.
The basics at least.
All those fancy things are all learned from the net. ;d

Lance789

Eh, sorry? o u o
Etzlenos Belliveau
eeh totally overlooked this... D:
But they DO hire new people from time to time. xD I guess... They do keep the core staff I guess, though. Most (big) game developer do that, I guess. But still, even these people got to retire some time xDD

Oh that w3schools site looks neat. Are the tutorials all free? Just had a short look on the HTML chapters...
mium

Ikr! These artists are like..immortal. OTL
Hahaha, but imagine the tension in that studio. To create such good games, they're bound to a lot of due dates and stress. ; u ;

Does tutorials are free. If I'm to learn something that's not in there, I'll just google it. xD;
Etzlenos Belliveau

They should be immortal! Or clone themselves. So the games continue to be awesome XD And their art.
Yeah, you can read that a lot that in a game studio (not just Square Enix) you have like 16hours workdays when it's crunch time < w<,, orz
mium

Makes me wonder how they're pay is like. ;A;
16 HOURS!? And I'm already complaining for 8 hours of class.
That's practically two times.
I'm such a sad child.

kennymap

emotion_awesome I don't have Skype.
Hahaha, lots of friends told me to download it since it's free, but I'm at the "I think Live Messenger is more than enough for me".
But I'd probably get one account soon since more and more people are moving over to Skype.

I used to used Skype a lot especially when I used to have those fun big group chats with my friends but, now I don't use it as much anymore.
Live Messenger has VC chat too so Skype is not necessarily needed
Etzlenos Belliveau

Well, someone like Tetsuya Nomura will probably earn pretty good xD

Crazy, right? I was a little shocked when I read that, too D: But it's quite understandable when you think of all the deadlines and stuff game developers have - most of the times... when it's not Blizzard.
I wonder if they sleep at the office XD
But I guess when you work this much you really gotta love your job.
kennymap

Hahaha, true.
My sister has a Skype account and she uses it to keep in contact with my relatives in Australia.
That's the only reason I see that I should get an account there.
Later on, when I study abroad.

mium

;A; And the music composers along with Nobuo Uematsu, of course. xD;

Hahaha, when I went around looking for colleges to enter, art was one of the choices.
And the way they told me on how they work, how their inspiration comes.
It can be pretty tough from what I hear.
Like, if an idea strikes the mind at 3am in the morning, it's best to draw/draft it out than sleep it away. ;B
I suppose you're facing that too?
