I would have to say real people. So I could understand the concepts of drawing and the history. Not breaking any rules. once I master the techniques I would break the rules and mix the lines by drawing real and anime. I have seen some work when the lines have been blurred and they can become beautiful works of art. whee

Definitely realism. I started with anime style stuff, but I'm much better at realistic things, and it's actually easier for me to do realism.

It depends on the mood... If I just want something silly or quickly made, that or I want a big battle scene I draw in a cartoonish smiley style.

But when I'm really in the mood, either after watching equilibrium, v for vendetta or something suitably epic I draw something very realistic, or several somethings.


More often than not however I draw realistically.

I love drawing both and I combined both to make my style. Realism is great to practice anatomy and get a better understanding of it. But I prefer to do non-realism works more though because I can be way more creative with the look of a character.
