Welcome to Gaia! ::

I've only read the manga - which I'm caught up with it atm.

I truthfully only started reading it because it crosses over with Tsubasa. (and Tsuki LOVES LOVES LOVES Tsubasa! <3)

+ It's a CLAMP series.

It's good, not one of my favorites, but nonetheless interesting.

I just wonder what the "xxx" stands for? o_o

I did watch the 1st OVA though of Shunmuki. I plan to watch 2 when it's released...and I will watch the whole anime series someday as well. ;D

I'm not sure who's my favorite character...probably Doumeki 'cause I love his relationship with Watanuki! xD
I don't watch it as much as i read it whee
Kaita loves xxholic. I wish funmation would license season 2 already! doumeki ruless. too bad Kaita's parent won't let her buy manga.

Oh, ch'ya D;
I love it when Clamp crosses itself over.
That is pure awesomeness
and probably takes a lot of balls, too.

And I can't forgive the Tsubasa anime for cutting
well
just about everything...
because it was "too violent."
I mean, who gives a damn about violence in animation anymore?!
At least, in Japan, lol.
Love the manga.<33 of course anime is good too!
Especially when you see a tiny bit of Legal Drug characters in the Kei series.
I LOVE IT, TOO~
mokona and yuko and watanuki r some of the best characters ever made by clamp! also, the whole concept of the store is SUCH an awesome idea~
oh, how i love it when yuko tortures watanuki... there was a part in the manga when watanuki remembered when yuko told him that he was doomed, and maru and moro held signes behind her saying: "doomed, doomed!" XD
this rly is a perfect example for the GOOD reasons for why clamp is famous. this non-overdone supernatural, the myterious characters... they didn't overdo it with the drama like in tsubasa, too, so i think it's better. u can nvr have too much mokona.
o, and, it's shonen-ai free, which is a rarity for a clamp series. if some1 liked it, u should give x/1999 a shot, too. the manga, mean. it's another example for clamp's qualities. i love clmap... if they only were less dramatic...
i mean, in x, they put feathers in the air for no reason evry second. like, kamui says: "i need to go to the bathroom," and feathers appear out of nowhere.

I completely agree with you~
nothing is over-the-top
and, thankfully, drama is scarce.

Although, I definitely don't agree about the shounen-ai bit.
It's implied in xxxHolic, too...
I guess it's sort of CLAMP's trademark. xP

Kimihiro Watanuki is a high school student plagued by yōkai, spirits with a strong attraction to him. The spirits are invisible to others and encounters with them are extremely troublesome. When he stumbles into a shop that grants wishes, however, events in his life promise to become more unusual.

The shop is owned by Yūko Ichihara, a mysterious and beautiful (sometimes playful) witch of many names and esoteric renown. For a price, she offers to grant Watanuki's wish to be rid of the spirits. The price, according to Yūko, must be of equal value and so, as payment, he temporarily becomes Yūko's part-time employee.

Watanuki's job consists of small errands dealing with the supernatural and household chores. His love interest, Himawari Kunogi, and "rival," Shizuka Dōmeki, occasionally join him in his work as per Yūko's request. The three become increasingly close despite Watanuki's annoyance with Dōmeki. ~ Wikipeda.org

Yeah, I pretty much realize I'm about a year (or two?) behind on this one, but whatever.
I just got finished watching this series, and the Kei part.
I LOVE it!
I'm not even sure why, since the genre is certainly not my norm,
but it's pretty much my obsession at the moment.
It was just so...not overdone.
And the characters, I can actually REMEMBER the names of them!
Now that, folks, is a rarity...for me, at least.

Soo, anyone think they'll continue on with the anime series, or leave it as is?

Read the manga, its goes alot farther and more in depth than the anime.
