I don't see anything emo about cops dealing with a killer with the ability to give you a heart attack by knowing your face and name. On Light's perspective, I don't see anything emo about being worried someone might catch you for killing thousands upon thousands of people.

Yeah she is more a obsessed servant of Light than an "emo" In all honesty nothing about Deathnote is emo, the stupid emo kids wanted to look tougher and started wearing goth clothing so now everyone confuses them with each other hence why they think something in the darker part of the color spectrum is now automatically emo. Clothing itself doesnt make someone fit a specific mold either, I wear a button up shirt and a good pair of jeans most of the time but I consider myself to very diversified in the things I like.

How about you actually try to read or watch the series and try to comprehend everything correctly? Just because DN's theme is very dark as well as the artwork with the skulls and crosses and such, and the gothic feel it gives off, doesn't mean it's "emo".

Sadly its a very broad spectrum with a different definition depending on which person you ask. Its a label and nothing more than such but people like to define what they do not or refuse to understand. In my own opinion its a stupid label people use to define anything from people who wear semi-dark clothing and use emotional issues as a scapegoat for behavior all the way to people who listen to crappy bands like Angels & Airwaves. This is just an opinion so take it with whatever you wish.
