My Bride is a Mermaid is a good one, although the "school" part doesn't start until episode 4 (it starts during summer vacation).

Dunno which one's you've seen already, but here goes:

Kaichou wa maid sama & Special A
These are kind of similar, they have a strong, independant female main character who's rather completely oblivious to romance and a handsome male main character who's in love with them.

Ouran High School Host Club
This one's... different. There's not really explicit love in this one, but there's plenty of romance though... it's difficult to explain, just watch it
It's also hilarious whee

Toradora
Tsundere all around! with a free a love square on top of it ^u^
It's really heart warming towards the end

Angel Beats
A very unique story setting. It starts out rather light and silly, just a bunch of friends having fun.
But it grows into a tear jerking love story. (You're inhuman if the end doesn't make you cry)

Clannad + Clannad: after story
The first series i found rather average, just your typical falling in love at school romance. But the second series really topped it off.
The sequel has a rather dark theme, so don't expect much happy happy lovey stuff there...
I can't say much more without spoiling, it was really good though ^u^

Zero No Tsukaima
Again... tsundere all around!
It's a bit of a silly series and the story isn't particularly good or anything
but I found it rather funny.
