Clannad is the only series that got me to cry while watching. Air came close though. Penguindrum, while not making me cry, is gets quite sad.

i'm not gonna lie, there were parts in naruto (of all things) that bring a kind of "d'aww" tear to my eye. pretty much everything involving itachi and sasuke.

err... clannad actually didn't make me cry. i'm heartless like that.
the puppy scene in elfen lied make me wicked upset. burning_eyes

this is a manga... but parts of love in the mask had me bawling my eyes out.
and the first time i watched it, there was a little sniffle in full moon wo sagashite.

yup. & that's all i can think of right this second.

No one died or anything but it was just so damn sad. I mean I've rewatched the last episode a good 5 or 6 times and I just end up sobbing. THERE WAS JUST TOO MUCH SAD!!!

So I shouldn't tell you that the girl in the world that has ended is Ushio and that the robot is Tomoya and that the world that has ended is some kind of alternate universe and when Ushio dies for real, her and Nagisa are brought back to life by Ushio and Tomoya from the alternate world?

but more than the story, i think the problem was that i didn't really like the characters. it was hard for me to get attached to them.
