Hunh, well I'd suggest Macross Frontier or Gundam 00. Both are just feasts for the eyes and the story lines are pretty solid. If you like some serious perverted stuff then I'd happily suggest Rosario+Vampire or Witchblade. And Outlaw Star isn't a bad series to get into either.

I second Eureka 7, fav series of all time. Can't figure out why it's been so unpopular in the US.

If you don't mind taboo subject I suggest Shoujo Kakumei Utena (Revolutionary Girl Utena). Berserk is amasing. I just watched Princess TuTu which I loved, more of a shoujo thing though. I tried getting into Gundam Seed and couldn't -__-; Avenger. Chrono Crusade is a solid show, good all around. I could go on and on.

Well there are different genres but i'll just give you the basic genre.

Escaflowne- It's bad a** trust me smile
Shingu- Funny and serious
Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok- Mystery. (Tip: make sure it's that exact name not Matani because that's Japanese and the voices are all jacked up....trust me)
Tenchi- Humor!!!

Oh Tenchi is a rather old one so the graphics you can tell are old but it's still really funny!!!!!!

Michiko to Hatchin-Big boobied, a**-kicking, long legged, scooter riding bad a** chick! It also has amazing art and a good story. Just the first episode is a little lame because it's the introduction but the series is awesome!!!!! It kinda reminds me of Champloo for some reason i'm not really sure why.
Tweeny Witches-Ummm it's about witches and they have to do stuff to save their world or something I kinda forgot....the artwork is by my favorite studio and it has a good plot its just been a while since I have watched it.
